    Are you going to see that much difference from taking casein over whey at night?

    Is there going to be that much difference taking like casein + efas , over whey + efas?

    I don't know about seeing a difference, but whey gets absorbed usually within 30 min, which would typically defeat the purpose of taking a pre-bed protein. Casein will last most if not throughout the night depending on how long you sleep.

    What?

    Casein is a protein that is slowly digested due to its agglomerating properties within the stomach. It does not need fats to slow the rate of digestion. In addition, EFA's won't slow whey digestion as slowly as casein protein - not even close!

    EFAs will slow the whey down, but it would still be a very fast protein. You want slow digesting before bed. Actually, what is best is a blend of casein and whey. The whey causes an amino spike and then casein is drawn out. The two function best in tandem as they are in nature.
