Favorite Snacks?
Hi everyone! I'm stuck on ideas for yummy and healthy snacks, so I'm curious what you ladies have been eating. For the past two weeks I've been eating string cheese and it's starting to get really old . . .

Oh I love to get those la tortilla factory wraps, put lettuce, mushrooms, and cottage cheese in it. Then I sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top and you have yourself a great snack. Great in protien and carbs and it has about 150 calories. i eat it everyday.

my favorite snacks are:
Blue bunny fudgesicles
only 35 cals in one with like 3 carbs 2g fiber no fat and 1 protein or something. they're pretty tasty
also
Jolly time snack popcorn
only 90 cals with 9g fiber and 9carbs and like 1.5 fat
I'm not sure how great these are for you but they're certainly better than a blizzard or reg popcorn

lol, I was going to say string cheese.... because I haven't eaten cheese in so long, and I was so happy to finally get some this week.
.... I'm pretty boring, but I like to have an apple with some whey-coffee. Yogurt or cc (if you like it) would be a good idea, too.... Another one I like to eat (probably too regularly) is protein pudding....

I mostly snack on nuts.
They are full of good fats, high in protein, fill you up, are easily portable, the list goes on!
Dry roasted almonds (much tastier than raw IMO) and Brazil nuts are my favourites.
Brazil nuts are full of Magnesium & Selenium & Almonds are full of Vitamin E, Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, etc.
Other things I snack on
- oranges
- bananas
- greek yoghurt with honey and berries mixed through it (maple syrup also is nice instead of honey)
- a chunk of parmesan cheese cut from the block. MMMMM.....
- slices of pear with a strong cheddar cheese
- roasted figs with vanilla yoghurt on top

Here are some of the snacks you could have:
Hard boiled eggs
Chopped veg sticks with hummus or cheese (either hard, cottage, ricotta, cream - low fat)
Fruit (either dried or fresh)
Wholegrain crackers with low fat cheese or natural peanut butter or any other spread
Low fat yoghurt
Nuts - As everyone else has says, they are really nutritious and portable.
Tuna/Salmon in pouches
Healthy muesli bars or make them yourself
Homemade protein bars
Homemade protein smoothies
Rice/corn cakes with whatever protein/fat you want

I love to chop a couple of apples and put in a bowl with splenda, cinnamon, and sugar free syrup. Then, I microwave it for a couple mins, stir, and microwave again for 1 minute. Its like ghetto baked apples. Sometimes I add a little greek vanilla yogurt or cottage cheese and a little fiber one cereal after heated.
Also love to put a little cottage cheese and sugar free jam (optional: few packets of splenda) on a ww tortilla or piece of flatout bread and wrap it up like a burrito. Then I microwave it til the cc melts or heat it in my mini oven til the wrap gets a little crispy.
Other snacks: yogurt/cottage cheese mix (sometimes mix it in a blender til smooth), fruit, veggies with salsa or cottage cheese, warmed up sugar-free applesauce and cinnamon, etc.

Lately I crave peanut butter stuffed (raw) jalapenos. It's like peanut butter on celery with a kick.
