Question Please donate your thoughts to my abs...

I am really frustrated with my abs. I have had two kids so I suffer from the "jelly belly". It is so yucky to me and I HAVE to get rid of it. I started working out in December and have seen a lot of improvement in my body. I have been told I would be able to track my progress through the way my clothes fit. While my shirt size has gone down, my pant size has stayed pretty much the same. I can tell a small difference, but not as much as I think I should. I work my abs hard with wieghts once a week and then I do about 100-150 crunches daily. What else can I do to start seeing some results? I eat pretty well. Eggwhites and spinach for breakfast, nuts for snacks, alternating fish/ckn/turkey with brown rice and broc for lunch and dinner. Plus I have a Muscle milk shake after my am and pm workouts. I ease up on my diet on the weekends. I still only eat the ckn/fish/turkey, but there is a lot of guacamole and chips and some beer and wine. I suppose I could be shooting myself in the foot with this.
I am also only doing about 30 minutes of cardio a day, should I kick that up to 45 or an hour? I hate cardio, I get really bored after about 20 minutes... I am new at this whole fitness thing so I am open to any suggestions anyone has.

if you hate cardio, then don't bother with 30 minutes of boring steady cardio.

Try this:

whatever cardio you do, do it for just 3 minutes, but like this: 20 seconds all out, and I mean all out 100%...then slow down to an easy pace for 10 seconds. Then back up to 100% for 20 seconds, then down to easy pace for 10 second.
Do this for 3 minutes, and see how you feel. Do it every other night for a month and see how you feel. It may sound like nothing, but it has gotten me good results.

If i were you i would try doing abs using a ab specific machine of your choice and doing drop sets.

Say its a cruch machine with a weight stack, start off with 100 pounds, do as many as possible, drop the weight to 80 pounds, do as much as possible, drop to 60 pounds, do as much as possible and just continue this until you feel like your about to die.

lower abs are tricky since so many machines focus on upper abs. but try and incorporate the same technique.

drop sets really shock the muscles.

lastly go very slow with your abs movements, its not a race. Make sure you feel a hard contraction at the end of the movement and a good stretch at the beginning.

Consider increasing how many times per week you do abs, i work mine every time i'm at the gym; don't be timid to try the same.
