lets say i had a vo2 max of say 80 top pro level
but i didnt have any experiences in running for a long time
just intervals
would i be able to run fast for a marathon or would the muscle be ill equipped?
No. Unless you are an absolute genetic freak, or did some kind of absolutely ridiculous interval work, you wouldn't be able to run a fast marathon time without some sort of long distance training and road work.
