Hi guys,
Due to being sick so often I heard a multi-vitamin may help keep my well more often. Anyone suggest a good multi-vitamin? I've heard good things about animal pak and Optimum Nutrition multi-vitamin also. I would appreciate some input and suggestions.
Thanks!

I'd listen to this guy, he spends way more time than you'd care to imagine researching this stuff.
AOR makes a great product, quite expensive... but as Peter said you can take a half dose and still do fine.
I personally use source naturals life force multiple because I'm a cheap SOB, but I know I'd be better off with AOR. One day I'll switch over.Latest Reviews:

says the guy who works for Universal Nutrition...I think AP is a waste of money...far too overpriced, for nutrients found in food or in a $10 vitamin shoppe multi...
if you can explain why AP is worth the money, im listening...Will it make you feel better? workout harder? Recovery better? ....doubt..

Don't take my word for it:

Animal Pak is more than a multi, of course it has a multi but that is only one component of it. You also get amino's, performance complex, anti-oxidant complex and fully dosed digestive enzymes. It's more of a training pack than a multi. It's dosed and formulated for hard training bodybuilders/athletes who have higher nutrient requirements than the average person. At under $25 for a 6 week supply it's hardly over priced. It's never going to be the cheapest however as it has more.
It's the top selling multi in our industry and has won multivitamin of the year award for the past 5 years.
People continue to buy it because they do feel a difference over regular multi's. We have customers that have been using it for 25 years straight! There is no other supplement in our industry that has that kind of track record.Free Agent

Coming from someone that does not work for them, i sold alot of AP's at my store. They are on the expensive side of multi's but cover ALOT of nutritional bases with different pro. blends and being more natural based/higher quality sources obsorb better. I would take one pak on off days and two on gym days with great results. The digestive enzymes helped me out as well.Misc Firearms Crew

Have you ever done any research into vitamins or minerals at all? Just curious.
I'm not in any way defending animal pack, never used it. However, there is a world of difference between the cheap crap you buy in walmart/sams/costco/etc and a product like AOR Ortho-Core. Even things like GNC vitamins and vitamin shoppe vitamins, which cost closer to $10-20/month are fairly crappy compared to a product like Ortho-Core.
It all comes down to each individual form of vitamin used in the product. The cheaper products use the cheapest forms. Cyanocobalamin instead of the better form Methylcobalamin for B12 for example. D-alpha-tocopherol instead of mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols (especially gamma) for vitamin-E (this is actually an extremely important difference in cheap and expensive vitamins as the mixed tocopherols can have major health benefits). Citrus Bioflavanoids as part of the Vit-C complex. Many different caratenoids instead of just beta for Vit-A.
The list goes on and on. There are always a few choices a company can make when including a vitamin or mineral or other supplement into a vitamin. Which form should they use, how much of it should they use (more is NOT always better), which ratio of one vitamin or mineral to another should be used for maximum benefit (important), what method of capping or tabbing is used and does it hinder digestibility? etc.Latest Reviews:
