Is this true about HMB?
I was told that HMB can cause you to have a swollen prostate? My buddy who was taking it said he was having a hard time sitting down when he did because his prostate hurt. I want to know because I heard it is good to take for fat loss also. Anyone? Reps for help.

HMB doesn't work well. You can get better supplements for your money like creatine, protein, fish oil or ephedra.

HMB is definately still out there and from what I've read for the most part is junk, so definately pick something else for you money being's how that is waaaay overpriced.

This provides some insight into the numerous studies performed with HMB ... Leucine is probably more cost-effective in the long run though...

EXACTLY!! Leucine is the way to go if he doesn't already have some. Just ran acrossed an article that said taking just leucine (by itself, no meal, shakes, etc...) promotes protein synthesis. So I ordered from a certain site that like to customize capsules leucine pills so I can just down a few here and there during the day.

I read the same articles on it. Leucine is great.

I've been dosing 10 grams/day for nearly 2 weeks now (got bored and order 500 grams) - no prostate issues.
your Buddy should stop tickling his prostate when wrestling with his b/f.

haha. I already have leucine. I was given a bottle of leukic before I deployed and it works great. I notice I recover a little quicker and have more energy with it also.

I started taking HMB 2 weeks ago, I have taken half a bottle of EAS HMB (I take 4 capsules 2 times a day while recommended dosage is 4x3).
The problem is that my prostate hurts too (not too much but it's is noticeable) and I didn't know why until I read your threat... Of course it may be only a conscience but I stop HMB right away to be sure.
