If macros are identical is there a difference between a dirty and a clean refeed?

    thread title.
just wanted to hear the experience of those of who who are familiar with refeeding and was wondering if there would be any difference if, considering that macros remain the same, i substitued for example 4oz of sweet potatoes and 20g of PB for a magnum temptation which yields pretty similar macros.
So i guess what i`m asking is if the source matters?
would really appreciate some opinions from you guys.

Refeeds are usually so refuel your body

IMO if you get your carbs from veggies/sweet potato/ oats it will benifit you more for your next workout than

say if you got all your carbs from ice cream and candy...

but if its ur refeed day and you want something different than your normal "healthy" diet go for it.

pizza/burgers/sweets arent gonna kill you just keep it moderate.

i`ve been doing clean refeeds for almost a year and was just wondering how would the subbing of some of those foods with an ice cream effect my body but, since i can`t seem to get tired of my sweet potatoes and PB i`ll just stick with it.
