Is there any pill or some kind of medicine on the market that slows down your metabolism??? I have weighed 140 lbs. for like a whole year and I CANT GAIN WEIGHT!!!! its because of my feakig metabolism i think iwaste 150 calories taking a piss

same here... this is what im planning to do about it...i notice that on the weekends, my metabolism slows down significantly...why? because of the weekends i only eat like every 4 hours as opposed to every 2-2.5 hours on a weekday.... so from now im, im going to space my meals out in 3.5 hour intervals...i suggest you do the same

I wouldn't start eating more crap like that, it's just bad. BigAssDeltoids has the right idea. If you want to keep your metabolism up, eat small amounts of food throughout the day. If you want a slow metabolism, eat big stomach filling stuff 2 or 3 times a day. Don't snack on top of that or you'll get fat. That's how your body works. When you don't eat for a while, your body thinks its starving and metabolism slows down to conserve energy.
Have you ever noticed how when you're really hungry and you eat something small, the hunger gets worse? That's because your metabolism is speeding up after not eating much and your body wants more. Anyway, hydro_blast, are you trying to gain muscle or fat weight? I'll assume you mean muscle. So have you increased the poundage on your lifts? Your muscles would be getting bigger, and heavier if you were.

Ok I'm 17, 5'10, a measly 140 lbs. .... im basically a skinny guy who is a beginner in the bodybuilding world ... i drink a protein shake in the morning, a sandwich in the afternoon, some healthy meals throughout the day, a good dinner ... normal, and i dont even play basketball anymore orany sport (since its too cold outside - waiting till spring to play) and im not gaining weight. i want a damn pill that makes ur metabolismslower, are there any???

try something like this
meal 1
2 large eggs
3 large egg whites
Cup of oatmeal
2 pints of milk 0
meal 2
2 skinless chicken breasts
8 oz of patatoes
1/2 a cup of mixed veg
Meal 3 (post workout chaneg order around to suit u)
80g of maltodextrin
Serving of whey protein
pint of milk
2tbsp of flax oil
Meal 4
5 oz of lean steak, cooked on grill pan
1 1/2 cups of cuscous or 1 cup of rice
1/2 cup of mixed veg
meal 5
1 1/4 cups of low fat cottage cheese
1 cup of rice
2/3 cup of fruit
meal 6
wholemeal bagel/ 2 slices wholemeal bread
4 thin slices of roast beef
2 slices of a low fat cheese
Sliced tomato
2 larg iceberg lettuce leaves
1 tbsp of low fat mayo
Thats around 3000 cal maybe more
Try that then com back and say i cant put on any wieght and ill call u a liar. By the way there are pills that slow down your metabolism, but they slow down most chemical processes in the body. A fast metabolism can be a blessing in disguse if u sort out your DIET.

i will tell you how you can naturally lower your metabolism.....BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS IT IS UNSAFE AND UNHEALTHY AND WILL **** YOU UP!!!!! get it?? i will answer this question, but i am not tell you to do this...... if you stop eating food for a prolonged period of time( say someone who is anerexic) and become very very malnurished..... your metabolism will be lowered. BUT LIKE I SAID.. DONT DO THIS!!!!!!

Hey Hydro Blast. I gained 30 pounds in like 2,3 months taking in about 5 pounds of meat and 8 litres of milk a day...if you can afford it try getting your appitite up to eating like this, I gained a good 50 pounds on my max bench! I have a slow motab. so I foolishly ate too much and gained alot of fat but I learned and on my second bulking phase I'll chop my food intake...you however need to up yours. Your body type would probably benefit from more carbs and fats then mine. Carbs tend to have a fair number of cals for how long they take to consume. Eat lots of carbs with your meat, eat 8 meals a day if possible, drink tons of milk (it is unhealthy as hell and may give you kidney stones when your 30 but it makes you grow). When cooking your beef, pork (these two meats r the best for bulking purposes I've heard) or the like throw in olive oil or canola oil, about 200 calories for every couple tablespoons, they consist almost entirely of monosaturated fats, good fats that you need not worry about taking in. Ox, you consider 3000cals a lot? I have a slow ass metabolism, and I eat over 5000cals a day! If I had a speedy metabolism, I would be over 8000cals a day Im sure. Its not hard to eat, just stuff your face until you cant eat anymore, and then eat somemore.

YO GUYS I READ allof ur replies and everything and im gonna do it, but seriously, how many people can afford to eat steak, buy freakin whey proteins every dam week, buy millions of eggs to eat etc etc etc.? 5000 calories a day lol my whole house doesnt even have that much food

why is it all of you say you eat all these outragous numbers of calories. I eat around 3000-3500. Being teens there is no way you could afford to eat that much and those of you in college wouldn't have that much money either. What the hell is the point of eating 5 or 6000 calories a day (or so some of you claim)? I'll tell you.............NONEI feel sorry for all those liars out there.
