Which kind of protein works best for women?

Someone recently told me that soy protein is the best protein for women. Does anyone know why this would be true or if there is any evidence to support this? I currently have soy protein powder and have been using it... should I keep this up or switch to whey or something else?

Women can benefit from the same protein powder that men use. Saying otherwise is like saying women can only drink a certain type of milk or eat a certain type of eggs Personally I would go with whey protein and ditch the soy, not unless you are a vegetarian.

There is no evidence that soy would be better than whey. I'd only suggest soy to a vegan.

I use ON 100% Whey to up protein when eating at maintenance or higher, and whey/casein blends (eg. Ultra Peptide 2, BSN Lean Dessert) when eating for fat loss (as they are more filling).
