Dynamic Effort Bench 11/13/08
I hate training at school. This should correct itself in about a month or so.
Dynamic Bench vs. Bands
Minis on 2 posts - 155 x 3 x 8
Overhead Lockouts
135 x 10
185 x 10
205 x 10
I stole these from Orlando Barbell. They were ok and did work the triceps some. Much tougher than I thought they would be. I had the pins set almost above my head. I may work these in from time to time.
Pullups
Wide - BW x 10, 10
Hammer - BW x 8, 7
Barbell Rows
225 x 6 x 4
I tried to get in the position where my form breaks down on deadlifts for these. I'm already sore in the middle of my back.
DB Side Bends
100 x 10/10 x 4
Hip Machine
Both Directions for 2 sets of 25 each

As far as you being the man... X 4
As far as lockouts, you should do these a lot and your bench will explode. It is interesting to me the weights you used for the lock outs. This means to me that the lockout of your triceps needs work. If that is your weak spot, you are more a beast than I thought... that can be fixed easily!!!
Make sure that the bar is directly over your eyes. Look up at the bottom of the bar when it is on the support, put the bar directly over your eyes, then press from there.

LOL! NO! YOU ARE THE MAN!
Me or Blunt? I just got fatter and wore the same size clothes. Makes you look swole on video.
I graduate in Decemeber, so no more school for me. Ever.
My lockout strength is not good. Whether overhead like today or on board presses etc.
I think I had the pins too low. While on the pins the bar was in the middle of my forehead. It sounds like you would put them a bit higher.
I did like the OH lockout better than pin pressing where you are laying on a flat bench. I can never get a proper benching setup when I do rack lockouts, but with OH lockouts you just sit down and press.

Pretty much. They are generally the weakest student body I have ever seen. Usually there are a few fratters with a good bench, but not at SMU. All ****ing weak.
I will unfortuneatly not have a job when I graduate. The economy is not good right now and only the largest firms are hiring people before they pass the bar. I know several people that are very well qualified that do not have jobs. Much better qualified than me. Things will work out though. All I can do is work hard, pass the bar, and then continue looking for a job. Everything else is out of my control.
