*REPS* Easy Ways To Get Dehydrated For Competition? What To Eat?

Well, theres tricks and such out there, like for example, i read in a article on jay cutler on how he prepares for comp. a day or two before competion he doesn't drink anything at all. also he eats his oatmeal raw, as to get the water out of him more.

well, i use the sauna room, and i do cardio, and also eat oatmeal raw. but what else could i eat? or do? that will help get more water out of my system prior to a show?

    thanks guys

Jay uses diuretics and steroids that have diuretic effects. What he does to his health is his problem, dont dehydrate like that because its dangerouse.

Besides he has to wash his tablets down some how.
Ansew to the few pms I've gotten since popping back on-line...

NO I never got full amount back from 'him', still owed for FAKE t3 and wu fee... More than a year on I can't be bothered to carry on chasing it up.. Unfortunatly word is he is on another bb community forum still selling

I would really suggest looking at Laynes contest prep article, its designed to get you tight without diuretics, and you dont have to drink like a teaspoon of water on show day....layne comes in dry and hard and he drinks a gallon on show day....pretty cool

at 6 days out drink 2.5 gallons of water a day for 4 days then 2 days before your comp, dont drink any water. dont taper down. completly cut off all liquids. water is the best diuretic. doesn't have to be exactly 4 days 2 days but you get the idea.

are you kidding? you can go 4 days without water, but after 1-2 days you start having big problems. Why in the holy hell would you want to jeapordize your health like that. absolutely ridiculous. You do realize that your water balance is regulated BY THE MINUTE. Depleteing water for even a few hours will cause massive release of hormones that increase water retention and even without taking in any water, your body will compensate by drawing water out of the muscle cells into the extracellular space to maintain fluid balance... so not only do look more watery due to the leaking of fluid into the Extracelluar space, you also flatten out big time. Again, unless you are on the drugs these guys use DON'T DO WHAT THEY DO!

question....can you get a dry hard look without manipulating sodium intake just by ramping your water up and then down for the show like you suggest in your article? Or is sodium manipulation a must for that hard look?

Actually it's only feasible to go 2 days without water. This includes fruits and vegetables.

To dehydrate yourself; supersaturate instant coffee into a cup of vodka and drink.

they both competed naturaly. also by drinking the 2.5+ gallons a day for a few days before droping tricks your body into thinking you have a more then plentlyfull supply comming in so your body no longer holds on to water. when you completly cut it off your body still thinks it has gallons comming in so you keep peeing it all out. where if you taper down your body goes into panic mode and holds onto it.

at least this is how it was explained to me. also they looked great and had no problems.

matt duvall said when he first started competing as a teen he would drink a 6 pack the night before the show to drop his water. he also recommended not doing it. ^ the 6 pack..

Why cut water? Seriously just minipulate your sodium and carbs as in layne's article and you will get better results. I was sceptical too but look at my advatar. That's after pre-juding at best of the midwest. It was around noon and I had close to a gallon down by that point in the day.

at least this is how it was explained to me. also they looked great and had no problems.

matt duvall said when he first started competing as a teen he would drink a 6 pack the night before the show to drop his water. he also recommended not doing it. ^ the 6 pack..
again, water balance is not regulated by the day... but by the minute

cutting water is probably the most overated thing in bodybuilding...You ever wonder why guys are flat and cant get a pump...well usually its because they cutt to much water to the point to where you end up actually looking softer...I went through this for my first few years of bodybuilding and finally I got it right this year..I actually LOADED up on water and didnt stop drinking til the day of the show...Of course this doesnt work for everyone, it all depends on your body and supps etc..

Easiest thing I've found is taken from my MMA training. Drop sodium for the final week and lower ur water intake by 25% daily for a week until showtime, drink nothing that morning and throw on a sauna suit and walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes, then do sit ups and job in place, throw jabs, etc in the sauna. Towel dry and look amazing. Not exactly the healthiest, you have to slooowly put the water back into your body immediately after and u'll feel zapped.

I followed Layne's protocol last year and it worked great. I NEVER cut out water. I would not even think about dehydrating myself. It's foolish and totally unnecessary.

People should really listen to layne... Look at my avartar... I was ripped and I did not need to dehydrate at all and I did not even sodium manupulated, tooo dangerous for my already high blood pressur. i only watched my sodium intake when chosing the food. Stop drinking water is FAR TOO dangerous and not beneficial!
