i know that DHEA has copped a bit of a battering in the past but has anyone used it and got positive reults from it? here in Australia we aren't allowed to have much but according to the T.G.A. (therapeutic goods administration) under certain conditions you can have it prescribed. i think i fall into this category so am in the process of getting this underway. i've used 4AD before which caused a minor problem but awesome results. but unfortunately since the Sept.11th tragedy, customs have tightened up and can't get anything through anymore.DHEA is looking like my only hope at the moment or "the juice" which is easy for me to get but my juice days are over i think...............!! DHEA
RICHIE.. in his book The Wrinkle Cure dermatologist Nicholas Perricone (avalible form Amazon.com) prescribed DHEA and testosterone cream to a 70 year old sportive patient after he found low testosterone and DHEA levels in the blood. He reports his patient continues te do fine and outcompetes persons half his age. Not only does he discuss skin anti-aging but he also discusses quite a lot of anti-aging supplements for the rest of the body in the book, such as alpha lipoic. and DMAE.... by the way can you get MSM in Australia.??.

aledef, i'm always referring to Big Cats articles and got quite a few handy hints.this is why i started using 4AD. i was actually looking at the anti-aging thing more than the bodybuilding aspect.i'm using creatine, liver & ZMA now which keeps me where i want to be and the look i'm after. in regards to the 4AD i was using A.S.T. brand 500mg pre-workout the 250mg after lunch & 250mg after dinner (i'm 6'1" which required a dose this high) and was getting mild lower abdominal pain which i think was due to an enlarging of the prostate.Dorian, who also posts here regularly, told me about a supp called Indolplex, which i used to help in this situation, but didn't get anywhere near the effects i was getting from the 4AD alone.i was eating a LOT of protein & carbs and was getting leaner while i was growing & getting stronger. if it wasn't for the prostate thing i would use this supp all the time. i lowered the dose to 750mg (250mg x 3 times daily) and the same thing happened. other people here have got awesome results from it but unfortunately i suppose it just isn't for me. BY Ray i'm not sure about MSM or what it is but i'll check it out. i've read a couple of books on anti-aging (i'm only 37 but still thinking toward the future) and they all recommend DHEA which is why i was going to ALL this trouble and believe me it had better be worth it. i think with how hard it is to get then it must be good for you. DHEA
I certainly would think that DHEA would be in order for older people with declining levels to get it back to normal again.
By the way.. MSM is a white powder that supplies sulfur to the ligaments, to improve strength and elasticity. I swear by it to keep the ligaments strong and flexible. Three years ago I fell off a ladder two stories onto my lower back onto the cement bottom of an empty swimming pool. I got up (when I got my wind back) went to hospital and they did X-ray, MRI, and found I had only temporary nerve damage which was gone in 3 days. I had started on MSM 3 months earlier together with 500mg of C.

i'm on my way out the door to get some now!! i really wouldn't think that it would be ILLEGAL here (just the cost may be a bit of a concern) but with this place you never know. i'm still amazed we're allowed to have creatine.after a fall like that the first place i would have gone would've been the lotto agency and got a ticket. that's a good argument for MSM. i'm definately going to look into getting some of this as i suffered a burst disc around 3 years ago which i've recovered from but my training has been restricted a bit. no more squats,t-bar & bentover rows and if i slack off on my ab work and stretching it will usually let me know to start doing it again.i'll usually add some vit.c (ascorbic acid) powder to my post-workout dose of creatine so i'll check out the MSM.thanks for the tip.Richie

Oh yeah, I agree with You on the prostate thing, but Youīre 37, and You know about the testosterone going down around 25-30 years. Iīm 27 and bought 4diol, but I havenīt received it yet and I worry about side effects too, like my balls, he he. Thereīs Saw palmetto, which may protect your balls. I donīt know how it works exactly, You may talk to BC about it.
Good Luck

aledef, already done that and decided not to continue with it. i still have some left so i might take the recommended dose which is 250mg twice a day.it's summer here at the moment so i'll wait till winter sets in and see then. if i were you i would start the saw palmeeto now so when you begin the 4AD your body will already be protecting your prostate a little more. that's what saw palmeeto does and it's only purpose. i picked up this hint from Big Cat.you'll love the 4AD.i noticed extra size in about a week. it's the best supp i've used.which brand did you buy?Richie

Thanks for the hints.
I got Higher Power 300mg, which Iīve read good critics about.
I think Iīll take Saw...
So, You took it while on the diol? If I understood Catīs advice, , it will not block the diolīs conversion, right?
cheers!

aledef, no, the saw palmeeto didn't to anything to block the effects of the 4AD.like i said up the page i was eating a LOT of protein & carbs but kept my fat intake low. even the e.f.a's which i usually have a couple of spoons of either flaxseed or olive oil with breakfast. i can't recall the reason for it but Big Cat recommended the only time NOT to take e.f.a's is when you are using prohormones and he would know. i was also getting leaner as well which was a surprise as the amount of food i was eating i thought for sure i was going to fatten up a bit. i'm envious of you as i know the results are great (for me anyway) good luck with your cycle.don't forget to add ZMA about a week before you finsh your 4AD.Richie

Did about a 1 1/2 week cycle of Ultimate Nutrition DHEA after doing a three week cycle of the LG Sciences Methyl 1-D and quit because I experienced severe acne. I'm currently 19 yrs old and maybe that was the reason but I was not taking an excessive dosage, it was merely for a post-cycle to the prohormone.
