eas and opt 100%
hey man, i've actually used both proteins, and i must say that Optimum Nutrition's 100% whey is way better then EAS for the money. EAS Simply whey is really chunky and hard to mix adn tastes like ****, also it gave me the ****s every time i drank it. But Opt. 100% Whey worked great and tastes great, adn very low in lactose so no more ****s after drinkin it. Stick with Opt. Nut.100% Whey

Bigrussian is right. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is relatively high quality and it is inexpensive. It is very much worth the price. It mixes with both water and milk very easily and doesn't clump; you can even mix it in a shaker. The vanilla flavor is awesome for mixing. Sometime I blend a banana in with it for the carbs and it tastes great. Sometimes I blend it in with an eggbeater and chocolate syrup. It even tastes pretty good by itself, especially if you use skim milk instead of water.

I have tried EAS Simply Whey protein (the chocolate flavor) and really liked the taste. I got a really good deal for a 5 lb. tub. The only thing that disappointed me about the product was that I believe that there were only 20 grams of protein per 2 scoops if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong).
I honestly have never tried the Optimum Nutrition's 100% whey, but I would assume that it would have to be just as good of quality as EAS's. The next protein I'm going to buy will either be the Designer Protein, Optimum, or GNC Mega Whey.
I will keep you guys posted.

You were right about the scoops, it's roughly 20 grams for 2 scoops, but the scoop size is half the size of a regular one, so it's the same thing in the end.
People who go around pretending to know everything are annoying those of us who really do.

I have a dumb question
How does one go about determining what percentage of the whey is concentrate and what is isolate if they don't tell you on the label?
Judging from the price, I'd bet both of these products are primarily Concentrate.
I've used Optimum Pro-Complex, which is mainly isolate. It's more expensive than the 100% Whey, but I got good results. Mixes very easily and tastes great.Last edited by Clutch; 11-12-2001 at 02:41 PM.
