If you are lifting heavy, here is a better approach:
1) use whey or soy protein and mix it with your soymilk
2) eat a bannana after the workout
3) have yogurt before or after the workout
4) have strawberries, rasberry or black berries just before the workout
And drink plenty of water too... During and after the workout...
