Im going to the gym tomorrow, planning on going 5 days a week. Im looking for a very basic workout routine. Im 248 lbs and 5'8. Im looking to get rid of this fat (near 50lbs), and gain muscle.
From what I can see, doing the "A Simple Beginner's Routine" and doing 90 minutes of cardio a week is a reasonable way to start? Also, im thinking about jumping rope instead of treadmill(or similar cardio machines), any insight on that?
Im having trouble understanding where to start and how to just jump in the gym without learning the ins and outs of everything (how the body works, how to lift, understanding every workout, etc). Im simply just trying to go to the gym and lose weight and gain muscle. Please confirm or tell me what to do different to reach my goal.
Any sort of insight is greatly appreciated, im having trouble.

yes, I see what you mean.
A good place to start is here but can be confusing and bb.com's best features is it's community features, not it's simplicity. If you are genuinly interested in gain strenght and muscles and get going you should focus on this site:
