The Truth about Food and PMS

The BBC programme "The Truth about Food" was on last night, and it did an experiement with a group of women who suffered from bad PMS. Half the group were given placebos, the other half were put on a diet of high calcium (ie dairy, mostly milk and cheese) foods and oily fish to provide vit D.

    They all kept PSM diaries.

After three months, there was no significant difference in the placebo group, but the dairy group had reduced PMS symptoms by between 33 and 50%. They were all surprized that they hadn't put on a lot of weight eating lots of extra cheese and fish.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Calcium and EFA's are massively important to the inner workings of a woman's body for hormone and mood balance. This report is nothing new, but it is very true.
