I've been here a while but I've never seen this come up yet
Something that has boggled my mind for a while and I want it straightened out now! Some guys in my school were arguing between which was the effective workout. Light Weights + Reps Vs. Heavy Weights + Less Reps. His argument was doing heavier weights leads to bulkier muscles, and doing millions (exaggerating) of reps of lighter weights toned down and defined muscles. Another guy said light weights and heavy weights are the same for the amount you use in both; if they're the same.
The thing is for me, When I can't goto the gym I NEED (like an addiction) to workout, I can't sit home all day. I have light weights at home; 15 lbs dumbells. I've been working hard for a year, and my arms are now 16" now. Will using my home light weights jeopardize my arm physique? I want to keepy my bulky arms and I think they are defining fine doing heavy weights as they keep getting bigger.
Will it just add less muscle mass than doing heavier weights.
I hope this gets cleared out for me asap.
P.S - I always see you guys say lift heavy and hard, but my homeweights aren't very heavy :\
Thanks =D in advance
