    Check this out: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/calpro.htm

It says I should take in about 270g a day....but thats not happening. I try to eat as much of it as I can, so for me is usually about 100-150g a day, while the average adult is only meant to consume 55g of protein a day...so I read on a food packet once.

1g per pound of body weight.

For example, if your weight is 150lbs, you have to consume 150g of protein to encourage a positive nitrogen balance, which means you'll have more protein in your body rather than excreting them out of your body.
