    Long vs short muscles?

Recently, I heard someone at my gym mention there's a difference in the length of muscles, he was talking more specifically about the biceps. He said that a long biceps muscle makes your arm look bigger when it's not flexed, but gives you a smaller peak, while a shorter biceps makes an unflexed arm look not so big as the one with a long biceps, but gives a greater peak. Can anyone confirm this? And if this is correct, can anyone give me some tips to get a higher peak? Thanks in advance!

A long bicep is one that looks like it goes all the way down to the elbow joint, while a short one is where you notice a large gap when they flex (ie. Lee priest for short, kevin levrone for long I think).

    peak is mainly genetic..

As for getting peaks (the small muscle), try wide grip barbell curls.

The way it works is, if you use close grip, your longer head, or the brachialis starts to be worked more. If you try a long, wide grip, you should see and feel that the small muscle is much more emphasized on.

Thanks a lot for the replies, I appreciate it. I'm definitely going to do more wide grip curls now, and I'll try to find that magazine.
    Thank you!
