White rice isnt bad compared to many other options, but it is a long shot from brown/basmati rice in terms of nutritional content and carb quality.
Green tea will help increase thermogenesis, aka. extra body heat, but its not going to be huge. Drinking a few cups a day might help you burn an extra 50 or 60 calories a day...
I would still recommend drinking it, because it has great health benefits..

Well, hold up a second. No, white rice isn't "bad" for you, but it's not an optimal food to eat 1-2 cups per day of if you;re trying to lose weight. If you're trying to lose, go out of your way to eat brown...and keep the brown to under 2 cups per day (depending on your stats..blah, blah, blah).
You have to be careful how you ask a question in this forum. Nobody has time to answer with every possibility or variable in mind."If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
