    insulin level spike or not???

    Im worried about if i eat a burrito right now, will the large amount of carbs make my insulin spike, because im cutting (its a healthy burrito, NO GMO and stuff like that) 54 g carbs

    Your insulin will spike but this is not necesarily a bad thing.

    How many calories, 300???

    The "large" amount of carbs will increase your insulin levels, yes, but so will protein to a lesser degree.

    If your insulin does not "spike", you would be diabetic You should be more concerned with the overall picture, what are you eating during the day? how much you excercise? are you really pushing yourself? etc....

It means your cells are not receptive to insulin, so your body must produce more and more of it to get the same effect. You should be more concerned with the overall picture, what are you eating during the day? how much you excercise? are you really pushing yourself? etc....
    The best way to regulate insulin is by eating balanced meals, and not just carbs alone. Eating protein with carbs will slow the absorption. Fat will also do the same. By eating a balanced meal, you will significantly slow the absorption of glucose, thus moderating the insulin response, which is what you want... except during PWO.
