just wondering.. do you guys think it is a realistic goal to gain 20 lbs of muscle in 10 months with a heavy (yet well balanced) diet, and a routine based mostly around compound exercises?

I'm trying to gain 20 pounds in about 10 months. I am 28 years old, but I am a complete noob. So far, I have gained about 5.5-6.5 pounds in 2 months, including missing some workouts because of the holidays. My waist has not increased, my biceps are bigger, (I am doing only compound lifts and bodyweight exercises, no curls!) my legs are bigger and they "jiggle" less when I shake them. So if I had to guess, I'd say it's been all muscle that I have put on.
I'd say it's possible to do 20 lean in 10, but you'd have to make sure to have a good clean diet and get lots of rest. I'm planning on writing up a journal of my progress. Good luck!
