1st time posting-opinions/comments please btw I'm a girl :-)
Hi everyone,
Have been lurking here for quite a while now and thought it was finally time I posted.
I have been lifting on and off since October 2005 I think. But I finally want to get serious and see some changes in my body.
Here are my stats -
Sex - Female
Age - 20 (21 on the 6th January 2007)
Height - 5ft 11inchs (I got a long body)
Weight - approx 178lbs (it varies up and down a few pounds)
Body fat - don't know, any guesses?
Aim/Goal - My main goal is to lose some lb's and % and to get more lean in the process, so keeping any muscle I have.
First weight goal is to get to 170lbs. Going to make smallish goals.
I have included some pics, so please comment and any suggestions will be taken on board.
My workout is like this -
Mon-Shoulders, Traps + Abs + Cardio
Tues - Back, Triceps + Abs + Cardio
Wed - Rest/Maybe some cardio
Thurs - Chest, Biceps + Abs + Cardio
Fri - Legs + Abs
Sat - Rest
Sunday - Cardio
My cardio consists of a mixture of - Stepper, Jogging, Walking, Jump Rope and Boxing on my punch bag.
As for my diet I haven't really got a solid one worked out yet. As of tomorrow I will be starting night work. 10pm - 6am and sleeping at some point in the day, hopefully I won't be doing this for too long though. Is just to keep the £'s coming in. Erm so here is the meal plan I'm using at the minute - by the way im vegetarian but i occasionally eat fish.
1. Serving of healthy cereal + skimmed milk
2. Wholemeal Pitta bread with tuna, sometimes extra light mayo, serving of low fat pretzels and a low fat cheese string (I tend to do weights in morning at the min so this would be post workout meal)
3. Serving of nuts or protein shake
4. Fish or Quorn/Soya with vegetables
5. Glass of skimmed milk or Protein shake
So any suggestions on that would be great, and any one who's on nights I would love to know your diet (cutting one please!)
Ok well thats it for now. I will try and get a back picture up as its kinda hard to take on your own with only a small narrow mirror!
thanks for reading. :-)

Thanks very much for your input!!
I shall try as hard as I can to stay with it. The working out isn't the problem, its the eating side I tend to slip up on, but I'm determind to stick with it.
thanks again
Any other comments? Or are people just looking and not commenting!!

5-11 ?!?!? 178lb.?!?!?!
Wow you carry it well..
IMO diet is the really improtant and consistancy.
So many people start and then quit. You need to make it part of your lifestyle.
Oh and my comment is ...clean your room

Yep Im sure its 178. I am pretty tall though, for a girl aswell. I always wanted to be 6 foot but never quite made it!!
Ok ok as for my room being messy, I was in the middle of making my bed, and the two tops on it are what i put on after I took the pictures!!
Yea I no pretzels and cheese strings. Thats why I said if any one has any input or comments about anything, including diet, then please let me know what to change!
I was just trying to make it low calorie with some protein. I think it works out 1500 - 1700 cals per day.
What would you suggest I replace the cheese strings and pretzels with?

I may well be heavier than you, but I don't know how tall you are or what you weigh so I can't comment on that lol
I have always been "solid" and always liked my food!!

Like most have said before me your diet is the most important thing. Consistantly training will definately help but if your diet isnt straight it will all be for naught. Good luck with all your goals!

yes you carry your 178 great!
Now dont forget to train that booty i didnt see it "pop" in the side view picture. your tall like me and it will take you some extra time to fill out with muscle. give your self that time. dont beat yourself up to much. now you do have a great body. i cant believe you weigh 180 and look good thats awesome. now although you look good, your a bodybuilder. so that means yes you need to stay a little leaner than you currently are. yes, i see you waist is fairly ok but you need some butter off those legs and hips. in my opinion a women needs 60% of her training on her legs 40% on the upperbody. your going to look so amazing when you lean up about 5%. and start filling out. great body, keep busting your ass. you will get to where you want to go...if your willing to pay the price. and i think you are. stay motivated by constantly looking and reaching for more things that light your fire. and most of all, have fun doing it. scott

Big_G1986, Heiber, JayWesson1 and scottallen - thank you all for your comments!!
yes I will try hard to stick with it. I have been given a few pointers on the diet/meal plan side, so i'm currently tryin to sort that out.
I don't forget to train my booty don't worry. The picture from the side view doesnt really show it, but it is pretty curvy, and has tightened up and got a lot better in the past couple of months. I find my stepper and walking helps, I just started including jogging aswell. I do work my legs ( i think my calves are quite good and are beginning to take nice shape, photos don't do them justice), I tend to be sore for atleast 3 days after my leg workout, any tips on how I can not get so sore, cos it is a bit off putting knowing ill be in pain afterwards. i do stretch and warm up both at beginning and end (warm down).
yea my waist isnt that defined, but i still have one, just! haha
fair comment about trimmin off the hips and legs. upper legs and hips are slowly shaping up.
but anyway thanks for all your comments and compliments, all are duely noted!!
anymore comments anyone?

Well...great that you have made a commitment. You do need to work on your abs...give carb cycling a try. It might help.
And keep being regular at the gym. Best of luck!

I do work on my abs, I used to a lot, but I only work them a couple of times a week now. They have actually got a lot better recently. The picture doesnt do them justice, but they will look better once I get more lean/cut.
thanks for your comments.
anyone else?

Well if looking like a top figure competitor or model was easy; We would all be figure competitor or models. Take your time and experiment in the gym and with food to find out what works best for you. Workout hard and often and you will make it. Look into a personal trainer if you can. Good luck

Can't afford a personal trainer. My gym is at home anyway, in my garage.
I just look info up and ask opinions when I'm not sure of something :-)
Ok well thanks for your comments.
Going out for my warm up walk now :-)

Good work so far there from what I can tell, and yeah not far off my weight either but you're a bit taller so I'll let it slip
With regards to nutrition, just try to keep everything in balance is your best option. Consume enough protein to make sure the muscle stays where it is.
Are you doing much cardio? I do it 3-4 times a week(3 if I'm lazy)
Keep up the good work!
PS.... Was that tattoo on your bicep sore? Mine went a little over it at the side and wasn't a nice sensation at all lol

Hey guys, thanks for visiting a rather old thread! But yes I did notice that you had posted in it, so here I am saying thank you hehe.
As for cardio I do it 3-5 times a week, really depends how I am feeling.
I will be posting pictures in december/jan when I feel I have something to show.
I have now changed my goal of 154lbs to reach it by 6th jan 2008 which is my birthday, and that allows for any slip ups I may have over xmas and new year!
So fingers crossed for me please! I stayed the same this week, but I think thats cos I havent done weights for a few weeks, its just been too damn cold ( i know petty excuse) to go out in my garage and work out.
But startin today I will be getting my arse out there! Looking forward to it actually!
Thanks again guys, have a great weekend :-)
