Ideal food after dinner & before the bedtime snack

I did some searches and had a tough time finding an answer for my specific time frame.

What are ideal foods to eat after dinner/postworkout (around 8ish) and before i eat cottage cheese and have a casein shake at around 1 AM. My dinner/postworkout consists of a couple of tablespoons of honey, brown rice, a banana, pineapple, sushi (brown rice and tuna), and a protein shake w/ milk. I usually get extremely hungry at around 10.

Currently during this time frame I've been staying away from anything with fat in it. Also trying to stay away from carbs the closer I get to bed time. I've been eating a lot of meats (chicken, turkey, steak), but want to know if there's anything else I should be eating or not eating around this time.

    Thanks in advance!

I try to avoid carbs a little later at night since I consume a fair amount at around 8. Afte doing some more reading and searching I've seen that it wouldn't be that bad of idea to include a small amount of carbs in this inbetween snack/meal. What are good carbs (or examples of foods with them) to eat at around 10-11 if I'm going to bed at 1AM? Thanks!

Egg Whites with a little Tabasco.

Anything that doesnt contain Vitamin B
Vitamin B, if taken close to bedtime in medium to large amounts can hinder your sleep, it can cause you to wake up during the night, and cause you to have trouble getting to bed.

As long as your not cutting anything just as long as it doesn't have a lot of your daily calories in it..

I cant figure out how to put a link on for the vitamin B thing
