Question Exercising with Hypoglycemia

I am a hypoglycemic (low blood glucose) and everytime I exercise I become very, very lightheaded. I'm not sure if it's just a sign that i'm out of shape or that my sugar has dropped drastically and I need to stop. I usually only get lightheaded when my sugar drops but i'm not sure about the working out. Maybe i'm not eating the right foods before I work out. So my question is...is it dangerous for a hypo to exercise?

And btw, I tried to talk to my doc but she sucks, she said I should just ignore it and keep exercising. I need a second opinion

I would get a second opinion, from another doctor, if you are concerned with your doctor's advice.

How severe is your hypoglycemia? http://www.usnews.com/usnews/health/...ource=standard

I would seek out a nutritionist first and foremost. Get some references from friends or a doctor for a good nutritionist to help you cope with hypoglycemia.

I am also hypoglycemic, and I can tell you that you can improve your condition with the right foods. To help your workout/training, before you workout, you should eat something with some carbs and some protein, such as either a non-sugar protein drink like Cyto-Gainer, or something as simple as a half of a peanut-butter sandwich. You need the right kind of fuel.

After your workout, you need some non-sugar protein like Cyto-Gainer.
