I've been alternating between maintenance and semi dirty bulk, and I think it's about time I finish my bulk so I can cut. I know what foods to eat more or less, but what's the best and cheapest way to shop? Can someone who buys tons of food in bulk give me some suggestions? Specific stores would be nice. (I only need 3000-4000 calories per day)

What you want is this:
Carbs - Oats, long grain brown rice, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread - You can get these in bulk at almost any grocery store and they are dirt cheap.
Fats - Peanuts and olive oil/canola oil - You can get a big 2kg bag of unsalted peanuts from safeway for about $8, can't go wrong. Oil you shouldn't have trouble finding in bulk, try costco.
Protein - eggs and protein powder are going to be the cheapest way to go here. You could also go for milk too.

Yea, just don't buy anything that comes in a box or bag, (cept for bulk food) and nothing from a can (cept tuna and beans of course)
I gaurentee you will bilk clean and way cheaper.
The dirty bulk is a retarded concept anyway, all you are doing is being lazy with a diet and paying for it on the treadmill later. IT all catches up man$lt type a personnel message &gt

Nothing, its sort of a complicated issue. Insulin moves sodium out of the muscles so it can move glutamine in, which aids in muscle repair. It also moves protein into the muscle (oversimplification)
However, if your muscles are not in a state of repair, it moves energy into fat cells
Its really just a transport mechanism, you need it when you are transporting muscle building chemicals, and not when you are not, then it will move energy into fat cells.
Timing would be more important then whether you should use them or not. And its not that the energy wont last as long, your body has enough energy to get through the day, its not like have cup of rice and you pass out 3 hours later.$lt type a personnel message &gt
