I'm African American, and I know I will still need to use a tanning product like Dream Tan. I wonder if that will be enough, because my tan is uneven. Should I lay out to tan my "untan" areas, or will the tanning cream make me look even?

My friends that are African American that compete will usually tan a couple of times before hand. Then they use maybe 2 coats of a tanning product...like Protan or Jan Tana or Dream Tan. That seems to do the trick. Even though they have dark skin, the tanning does deepen their color and that may help everything look more even

Actually it does the opposite It thins your skin...sometimes I will wear Prep H into the tanner and when you get out you have all these little beads of sweat where you applied it. Getting burned may make you hold water but all of the pros tan consistently before shows because it does help with subcutaneous water.

Maybe we are just a little behinde her in Denmark, because here no-one do tanning thoese last 3weeks... But then again when you use protan & dreamtan you can't see that you have been in the sun...
I will look into it... (I know that a man like Jay C do some tanning before contest... so...?)Hakan - From Denmark
