    Best time to start cutting for summer?

    I was wondering when the best time to start cutting would be for the summer months, late juny-august.

    Slow bulk all year round! No need to cut for summer, and you can spend the extra 3 or so months that would usually be spent cutting on building more muscle!

    Yeah but slow bulking is way too slow and its not fun at all. I guess neither is cutting.....Man i love dirty bulking all year round and not caring about fat

    Slow bulking isn't any slower when it comes to putting on muscle, because muscle gain will stay the same.
    The only reason why the numbers on the scale go up slower is because you aren't adding any additional fat during the week.

    Very untrue. You can't gain muscle at the rate with a 200 calorie surplus that you can with a 1,000 calorie surplus. If you wanna slow bulk for a year, and have me dirty bulk for 10 months and cut for 2. I can guarentee I will have gained more muscle than you and the cut will put us even for fat.

    Okay, well since you can only gain 3-4 pounds of muscle a month, no matter how much calories you eat, I'll gain 3 pounds per month for 12 months, putting me at 36 pounds in one year, and you can gain 3 pounds per month for 10 months (putting you at 30 pounds heavier), and then use the last two months to cut some/all the extra fat you've gained.

    Edit: And if you're going to be bulking continuously for a year on a 1000 calorie surplus, I guarantee you'll need more than 2 months to shed the fat.

    Strong false stament. So what your saying is you have to add on lots of fat for muscle. Ummm think again! You can pack on lean mass with no fat or very minimal fat gains.

    Goal: Get in the shape I would need to be in to compete. This is a long term goal, and whether I actually compete or not doesn't matter, I would just like to be able to say I could do it, and do well, should I ever decide to. I'm in much better shape than in my avatar, but unforunately I can't update my pics as I can't load new ones onto my computer. I'll keep trying.

    if you dont spent much time at the beach then just cut when youre getting a bit fat, im cutting now since its easier to cut on holidays, since theres no school, and i stay home alot so i can cook at home, now i will go make breakfast
