I have a question about how much I should increase/decrease or keep the same calories or carbs on the days (day really- Sunday= my day of total rest, no lifting or cardio) i don't workout. I've heard many differing opinions...some say keep calories the same as WO days....some say cut protein intake in 1/2...some say have this day as a carb load day. So i am just confused basically!
I am preping for my first figure comp May '07 and need to drop my bf%, but also increase muscle. I'm 5'5", 125lbs and at about 20%bf. i eat around 1550-1650 cals/day...i am thinking that this may not be enough?
Also, what are people's thoughts about carb cycling??
So any advice would be great regarding this! Thanks!

get at least 1.5 grams of protein per lb and at least .25 grams of fat per body weight... the carbs are up to you.
When I carb cycle I use my off days as my low day. It's aprox my body weight multiplied by 12 and I use a 5/60/35 c/p/f .

You NEED protein for the amino acids (you know this). Carbs are fuel and, so, should match your energy expenditure. Therefore, you should naturally cut back on carbs (and possibly fat depending on your goals) on the days that you don't train.
I don't tend to use the 'x grams per pound of body weight', but prefer to use the mathematical formulae (from ISSA) to calculate caloric intake. Then I calculate protein requirements and split the balance between carbs and fat.***Irish Misc Crew***
