compliment from a young young girl, awrkward situation

Went to GNC today to take a look around. Wow CellTech rules GNC anyway while I am reading the labels on some of the MRPS they now have, this young girl walks up to me and says, need any help, I politely say nah I am good, she says ok if you need anything just holler, I say OK.

She comes back to me and says, I swear just like this " I usually don't talk to older guys but you are very sexy and handsome, I am young but not immature, I am 18, my name is Cathy. I would love to go out on a date with you if you are not married or involved, and even if you are you can still call me" And then she tries to give me her number.

I was embarrassed, flattered and I felt very awkward all at the same time. I didn't take the paper I said to her I am flattered but I am married, but all the while she kept looking right directly into my eyes, like saying you sure?

Man was that an awkward moment I didn't want to make her feel bad but I felt like I was doing something wrong although I wasn't, very very weird situation.

I am "hit on" fairly frequently, and now that I am older more often it is by far younger girls - and I have the perfect answer that you may feel free to steal:

"Aw, that is so cute and really neat too because I have a son who is your age who looks just like me and will think you are cute!"

You can go on to say "if you give me your number I will give it to him" if they persist. My 18 year old son thinks I rock!

While I am in no way where you are physically, I did have a complement from my 18 yr old daughter the other night. She had a girlfriend over and watched the 80's flick "Top Gun" with Tom Cruise. She said "Dad, you know that picture of you holding me when I was a baby and you were still in the Air Force, you looked like Tom Cruise in Top Gun back then" ... and then she said "and now you're getting a body to go with the face you had then."

Quite a compliment coming from my daughter! Wonder if her girlfriend agreed?

Anyway - congrats on the compliment & the integrity! You da man!

You know what is really strange is that she was pretty hot looked older and could have lied about her age, like 25 or so. But she was honest about her age which I kind of respected her for that.

I don't hide anything from my wife usually but she IS upset with me right now over that stupid incident. I don't need to tell her right now, but eventually I will cause I go there quite often with her don't need any drama you feel me?

And hey, enjoy it. Doesn't happen very often, at least for me, but when it does, it's a pretty good feeling. Just a few months ago I couldn't wait to get home to tell Shelli that the super hot chic at the tanning salon I used to go to, not only remembered me, but was all over me when I stopped in. I used to tell her 'you have to see this girl at the tanning salon'.....so she asked me why I didn't go for it?!

Sure do.........If I told my girlfriend, she'd walk right down to the store and give her hell. No questions asked. Some things are better to discuss just with the boys. However, with that said, I'd like to tell her because I'd be proud of the whole thing. It's a no win situation.

I think you are on the right track there... You are right, eventually you need to share it with her. The GNC gal might be there next time you and wifey visit, and GNC gal will not care what wifey thinks.

I get a few complements here & there but the one I liked the most was during a volunteer meeting at my kids school. There is a group of us starting a volunteer committee sort of thing and I'm the only guy. Anyway, after one of the meetings one woman said that we need to have a movie made about all the stuff we've gone through in this school year. Every one was going around picking which actor they would like to play their part (who closely represents them). They came to me & I didn't have a clue but one girl says Brad Pitt and another says she was thinking the same thing.

That put a smile on me but it got me to thinking too,,, Do I get Angelina???? LOL

They always used to tell me Craig Stadler was my twin separated at birth. Thankfully, I am not that heavy now!

Actually BH, been there a few times, next time don't tell the wife. They do not see it as a compliment like "I'm married to a sexy man". Nothing happened, it was nice and made you feel good.

Think of the reverse, you want to think you'd reply with "my wife is hot, cool" but you wouldn't, deep down you'd be a little pissed. Women don't have a 'deep down' they've got surface pissed.

The small stuff doesn't need to be shared all the time.

Ummm... I hate to break this to you, but you've just posted this on the internets, me and the other 2 billion internet-wired people on the globe have access to this 'secret'. Most likely, your wife is in the 2 billion people group.

Happened to me too a few times. I had some good experiences with the teens of 18 - 19 yr olds in clubs just some fun, but say the 14 yr olds i wouldnt eevn joke with them i blank them TBH. I cant seem to attract a older woman for the life in me - dunno why

I have had my share of similar experiences.
One time last year, a waitress handed me her phone number in front of my wife. You can imagine the scene that occurred. We never saw that waitress in that place again. While I got a kick out of it for hte ego boost, my wife was far from amused. This is part of the double edged sword as she decribes it.........she likes the way I look and even enjoys the looks I get from some women, but hates some of the attention I get.
