How the hell do I get 1200 cals per day!
It's so low!
But it's what I need to lose weight.
Damn. Does anyone know how?? I gotta lose some weight in like 6 weeks, that's when my grad pic will be taken. Around 5-10 pounds.

im sure you can go a bit over that...just cut out all fats (except essential fats) and eat extremely clean....eat majority protein and less carbs.. im sure you could take about 200 calories if you look at it that way.

You can definatly go over. It's not on how many calories your taking it it's how many your burning. As long as you burn more then you take in. DONT EAT FATTY FOOD's if you want it that bad you'll cut those out of the diet. Instead of a hamburger go for a tuna sandwhich or something. I wish you goodluck on this if you have anymroe question's il be happy to help.

My cutting diet is about 500 more calories, but I tried to cut it down for you. It's now at 2196 calories. If you like it feel free to tweak it a little. But unless you're running DNP, 1,200 calories is way to little.

Keto is like, a very low or no carb diet, the athlete version of atkins. Instead of low carb low fat high protein, it's low carb high fat (good fats, that is) high protein. And fats become the the source of energy and that way you burn fat (body and dietary fat).

Instead of cutting calories, increase your cardio.
I also would not recommend any keto diets. Any thing that deprives your body of a nutrient that play a huge role in the metabolization of food is asking for trouble later on.

What I know from keto is that your body fat burns off faster? If I go boxing let's say for about 30mins-1 hour (not including the breaks, etc) everyday at high intensity, how many cals should i take in then? Can i eat maintenance and burn off the 500 cals..? But I dunno how much I burn, cause I don't weigh as heavy as others so it's harder to burn cals.. right? (?)

Yes that is correct. "Fat is burned in the furnace of the carbohydrate"
Your body requires adequate amounts of carbs to metabolize fat, if it can't it starts burning fat. HOWEVER:
A prolonged state of ketosis makes you sluggish, mental processes suffer, and your body eventually becomes dehydrated. ALSO when your body is deprived of carbs, it begins to metabolize amino acids like proteins for energy. Very inneficcient for athletes and especially body builders. And if your body can't use protein it MAY begin to canabolize lean mass (muscle).
Any more questions I would be happy to answer
-Brant
Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't answer your other question, let me eat dinner, I will reply again.

yeh, high intensity exercises look for carbs first but dont tend to favor fat over muscle once your out of carbs. so if your doing alot of athletics then i would think low carb would be a bad idea. just mho though as im no expert...

Suprisingly, Pating;
The difference in calories you burn in a low intensity cardio at your age and weight isn't much different from someone much heavier.
It all depends on your BMR (Basil Metabolism Rate) Which is simply put, the energy needed to pump blood, keep organs running, and your body to process oxygen, etc.
BMR depends on many factors, age, weight, height, blood pressure. This I am sure you already know, otherwise you wouldn't know what your maintenance level is!
Anyway. Now to the point; Your better off at low intesity cardio. Which is where your heartrate is at a consistent beat of about 130 BPM for 30 - 45 mins a day. Something like a brisk walk or a slow pedal on the bike will work.
Use the chart in the attatchment html file as a reference!! (You need to unzip it first)
Hope that helps! If you need anything else let me know.

After 5 days of keto, I switch to a high carb/high protein/very low fat diet. So that the carbs will go straight to the depleted glycogen stores and repair the muscle. The high carb stage goes on for about 30-36 hours, right after a workout. Well, at least that's what the keto diet says we should do!

I won't try to turn you away from your keto diet if you have already made up your mind.
However, I think the weight that is lost, you will see go off from muscle atrophy and fluid loss. And not from fat. Which I assume is your goal.
Good Luck

I'm switching back to low fat/mod. carb/high protein diet.
I guess that's what works most for me since I do a lot of boxing and cardio
