stomach vacuum?!?!
Iv'e been away from training that long that so many new names and gizmos and machines etc have turned up that while reading some of the posts I haven't got a clue what you guys are talking of. Stomach vacuum? Is this a machine or an exercise? Sorry for my total ignorance.

no, stomach vacuum is something to do with pulling your stomach right in, and holding it there. Sposed to get rid of bulging-out-abs-syndrome

basically, i'm trying to find out if they are worth the time investing in.
I have pretty strong abs, but definately convex rather than concave

well. they've definitely made my stomach more flat. same problem, convex instead of concave. and exercise...thats a good part. but i'd say vacuums play a big part if u want the sunken abs look. that or make your chest bigger.

For added fun, hold the stomach vacuum position during your movements and see how that feels lol. Especially deads/squats lol. That a sure fire way to work the abs while keeping them flat id say. Remember heavy weight is not the goal here. Just an idea.

Well **** it's not a hard exercise, and it's simple...it wouldn't hurt to at least TRY it, and incorporate it into your current program...
