Labrada Lean Body Cookie Bar (quick review)
Guys, lots of people come on these boards and ask about protein bars. I'm a big protein bar guy...for some reason shakes mess with my stomach if I have too many. Beyond that I'm an avid golfer and like to have something to take on the course with me (that doesn't melt in the warm weather.)
I've tried TrioPlex bars (moldy,) MHP Up Your Mass (chocolate covered so they melt,) Metrx Big 100 (peanut butter cookie dough is awesome,) Lean Body Gold bars (good taste but they melt and don't have any good carbs in them.)
So I tried Labrada's Lean Body Cookie Bar in oatmeal apple cinnamon. Taste is fantastic. Bars are moist and the consistency is great. If you put it in the microwave for 10 seconds it tastes like it was fresh from an oven. Doesn't melt in warm weather.
As for the nutrition facts, 30 grams of protien (and garbage protein like hydrolized collagen aren't in the protien mix,) no trans fat, 35 grams of carbs (12 being from sugar)...that's pretty damn good for a protien bar.
Now I know everyone will weigh in with their hARdcORE "make your own," "protien bars are ****," and other assorted comments. This post wasn't designed for you. This was for the guys that would like to have available a decent protien bar that they don't have to make themselves.

i tried one of Labrada's bars at a show recently in charleston and while i don't remember which one i tried, it tasted awesome! by far the best protein bar i've ever tasted - as soon as i go off contest diet i'm going to buy myself a whole case of 'em!

I always sport a Detour bar or two in my gym bag, I'll have to give this Labrada Lean Cookie bar a try.

I think this is the only "bar" that Labrada makes that is NOT covered with chocolate or anything. This isn't layered at all...it's like a rectangular oatmeal cookie.

hmm..nope not the one i tried then. i tried one that was either white chocolate or dark chocolate (big difference between the two i know, i just dont' remember !)but when i can i'll try the ones you talked about and will heat them up. that would make a pretty good dessert i'd think.

im glad somebody posted about these bars. I've only had the chocolate chip oatmeal cookie bar and it is fantastic. the texture is great and the ingredients seem to be very good for a protein bar. with a glass of milk its excellent!!

My gym has recently put all of the Labrada bars out for $6 per box of 12, so I picked up some Caramel Cookie Twists. The texture is a little grainy and you have to chew it forever to get it gone, but the flavor is pretty good. I'm not big on candy anyway, but for someone who has the occasional candy bar craving, I can see a definite value here. Much better than a Milky Way or the like.

I have had the peanut butter oatmeal flavor of the cookie bar and it is awesome. There is also a new smores flavor that sounds promising too. Fo people that eat a protein bar every now and then i would defintely rank this bar as the best in my opinion.

I love the Cookie Bar, but i wish there were no choc chips in it. I may stick to using all Labrada products, because of their known quality....
