i brand new here so i dont know if this is the place to ask.... I have the sport 9.0 powerblocks stage 1. I was wondering if any of the members here are looking to get rid of the expansion kits for the sport 9.0. I just got back into workingout after a long fat slump and the 50 lbs arent cutting it on bench anymore. Any help would be immensely appreciated (i dont have a very good local market on craigslist here). Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

How much are like new 45 lb Troy commercial plates worth? I'm looking at either the H0 or G0. I've used the rubber coated Troy grip plates previously but I haven't seen the uncoated plates. The seller wants $1 per pound... which seems high but aren't these similar in quality to Ivanko?

$900 for a Cybex squat press seems like a good deal. I just paid 2.5x that for one

There's a set of steel dumbbells with rack for $400... not sure how high they go but it looks like 5-50. The same seller also has a power rack with a lat pulldown for $400.

This bench was $125 and only 30 mins away. I was told that I was first to contact the seller but he wasn't going to do any business until the weekend (which was 5 days away). After pestering him a few times, weekend rolls around and he tells me he sold everything to someone else. 1 week later, I see this^ guy list it for about triple what he paid and the bench is now over 2 hours away. You can't do that. You aren't allowed to flip for profit! Not gonna.. Grrr.

I have the H0's and older VTX plates that match to a great degree (a tiny bit deeper but more or less the same plates). I got the Troy's at a great discount and couldn't expect that to be matched but regardless of that I would not go near $1/lb on these unless you are convinced that you won't beat this in your area (which I know nothing about). You'll love the plates but for used plates I'd only buy Ivanko at that price. If your area is that dry on weight it may not be a purchase you'd regret but knowing that you look very actively I have a hard time thinking you won't beat that.

What would a used Nautilus leg press machine with a 480 lb stack be worth? Got one pretty darn close listed at $500. He has a couple more as well such as a shoulder press with a stack (not sure the weight or manufacturer) as well for $200. There are a couple more including a plate loaded bench press with dip stand and an incline press with stack and a plate load hack squat, but the other 2 (especially the leg press) are the main ones I am interested in. He said he would give me a deal on multiple purchases, but what would you offer? I plan to go by there tonight to check it out in person. He said he could deliver it as I don't actually have the means to move it myself, would have to borrow a truck. That and I have no idea how to move a piece this large. Thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Here is the hack squat. What is a good price as $500 seems high I believe? I liked it more than the leg press though. Leg press didn't feel extremely smooth, especially at high weights.Last edited by Huck43; 02-27-2013 at 04:49 PM.

Exactly. It wasn't something that was a must, especially at $500. Could always offer lower, but from what I saw, just wasn't quite where I wanted it to be.
I am going to a local fitness company who has some used/demo stuff. What would you price a commercial lat pulldown/low row at or a hack squat with leg press ability?

I can't tell if these are basefits that have been custom colored, or if they're actually basecamps, where you can order a color from sorinex. Either way, the Basefit is the "big brother" of the dark horse. It's actually killing me that these are still listed (and I don't have a home gym to put one in). Doesn't anyone live in New York?

it doesn't look like the basecamp based on the feet. it might the basefit. the thing is the basefit is 2x2 tubing as far as i can tell. i wouldn't consider it to be the big brother of the dark horse, which is 3x3 (the basecamp scout is prob the "big brother" of DH). I'd get the darkhorse over the basefit if those specs are true. (not saying this isn't a smoking deal for those who are in the area)

The feet are what's throwing me too - it looks as if that's the basefit bottom, but it also looks as if there are a number of pieces that they didn't put together on those racks.
as far as the differences between DH and basefit - the basefit has holes in all 4 sides of its posts, DH only has front and back. Basefit is physically larger (taller and deeper) but it's only 2x2, whereas the DH is a 3x3 rack with 2x2 plate storage. I'm not sure why this all justifies the DH coming in at 999.00 shipped and the basefit is 1419.00. At those prices the DH is definitely the better deal - but for 850 with a platform, the winner really comes down to preference.
Overall the sorinex website is pretty bad... there's no standardization in the product descriptions and a lot of information is hard to find or just plain missing. With all the success they've been having lately, they should look into updating that.
