Using protein after the expiration dates

I bought 2 tubs of nitrotech whey protein for $10 each at gnc about 3 months ago. It was on the clearance rack and it was $10 for 30 servings of good quality whey protein, so I didn't even think about looking at the expiration date. So I also bought a 45 serving tub of gnc's "Pro Protein" which also expires this month. and that was only $7.49 so i had 2 get it. I havent worked out in a long time so I still have just about ALL of the 3 tubs of protein left. So does anybody know if using them will still be effective, or will it get me sick or something? and how much longer after the expiration date should I be able to use these protein supplements before they are bad to drink?

if they have recently expired and were sealed until recently.....they should be fine....expiration dates on things such as this are more preautionary measures than anything....although i'm not positive.

let's put it this way, if it were me, and i saw no obvious signs of age, taste was the same etc. i'd use em up!

I've had an GNC whey that expired, but other then throwing up occasionaly and having bad stomach aches, i was pretty fine.

LOL j/k. but seriously, i have one that expired, and nothings different about it. Like the above poster said, it is usually an precaution measure so that they don't get sued or anythign.

I always buy supplements that are about to expire because they are so cheap i never had any problems with them.

protein is still good 4-6mons after the expiration date. youll be fine.
