How long does it mean "take on empty stomach?"

How long after a meal can you actually take something that says you should take on an empty stomach? such as a lot of pre workouts .. and in my case X-Factor , I have read it is best to take on an empty stomach ... so how much time is enough? I had chicken with rice and peas and fries ... an hour and a half would be considered good?

When they say empty stomach, I presume they mean not having eaten anything before. Maybe 3 - 4 hours for your body to digest the food completely.

I second waiting 3 or 4 hours, or wait until you are hungry to really know your stomach is empty.
If you change nothing, nothing will change.

I think they recommend taking the pre-workout on an empty stomach because you'll feel the effects faster and stronger. I wouldn't workout on an empty stomach tbh

while food is definitely not fully digested within 3-4 hours, I would say that is a good time to wait to be at an "empty stomach". even two hours would be good.

Fasted training is the way to go. If you need a boost, drink some coffee or pop a caffeine pill. No need to use pre-workouts imo. They just eat away at your wallet. That money could be used buying amazing things like steak and/or BnJ Ice Cream!

It's going to vary. Google "food digestion times" to get a rough estimate. Carbs generally pass through the stomach faster than proteins, and proteins faster than fats.

So 3-4 hours like others said sounds about right. It won't be fully digested ofc as someone said, but it should be out of your stomach or close by then.

How about asking the people who make the supplement?
