I remember that.
I'm just talking about when racking though. You could still get set up and do the reps completely your way, it works. But then just at the end after your last rep you could give up that advantageous (leverage wise) position to rest it on your shoulders because you don't need to press it up again. That way you get the heavy ass weight out of your arms, but in a rather safe way where there's basically no risk of losing the bar and getting hurt.

Appreciate it Farley. Never in my life did I think I would be able to use that amount of weight on this lift. Its mind blowing what gains are possible. I hopefully one day will be able to hit a 3 plate SOHP. I think it will be 5+ years till I do that though. But I'm not here for instant gratification. I love lifting. I look forward to it before each session. I would probably be dead w/ out lifting. Its my drug and one of the few things in my life that keeps me wanting to stay alive.

Thanks man. Glad to see you in here! Yeah I think my best PP is 285? 275 at the very least. Flew up and it was after many sets of heavy pressing. I should get back on that and slowly work my way up to 3 plates. Keyword slowly. I know I have 3 plates in me but I don't wanna jump to that right away, and I would like to work on my technique a bit more. Now that I think of it that should carryover to my lockout strength as well. Good stuff m8

Thanks bro. I have done 225x3x3 but it was tough! I have no fkin clue. Depends if I wanna start stuffing my face again till I feel like yacking. Like I said SOHP is one of the most difficult exercises to gain on. 3x3 w/ 235 might be 6 months away. Also depends how much I focus on SOHP. Lots of other factors as well. I would say if I really wanted to hit that 3x3 PR it would take me at least 2 months.
Also I tried to make a video of my full workout with a little warmups and floor press. But since I got a new phone and I guess the video quality is better every time I try to make an intricate, longer video the program crashes and or my computer turns off, srs.
Looking for a new video editing program guys. Any ideas?Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

I would talk to you over the phone later for free if ya want on how to raise your bench fast. Are you seriously saying SOHP is easier than bench to progress on? I hope not lol. Maybe you just typed it out that way sorta.
And FUK YEAH the Bronks. After that last game I despise the Seahawks. Although I really do like Lynch. Good person all around too it seems.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

If they don't win I'm gonna be livid. Srs.
I was going ape**** last game. My cousin secretly recorded me at the end.
Might put it on youtube for sh*ts and gigs.
No but for real. If Denver does not win I will do something irrational. Semi srs.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

I don't wanna necessarily say fuk him cuz I don't know him IRL. But I saw one of his interviews he did a few weeks back and it was so superficial, hypocritical, and two faced. It for sure seems like he puts on the typical political act. But I try to not talk sh*t about peeps unless they really do something bad or I know them IRL and I know for a fact they are legit a$$holes. I do my best not to judge anymore. Hard to tell with all the BIAS in the media. But the Seahawks are for sure my biggest rivalry now and I really disliked the way that Sherman handled himself in that post interview. Complete disrespect which I am strongly against.
Thanks bro appreciate you posting in here.
Thanks brah. And jsut to be clear Farley meant only hold it that way on the re-rack after the set correct?
Troll. Do even watch football breh?
Felt decent this session. Knee was very sore. Hammie also still strained but getting better. Was probably around 90% fresh. And despite my injuries I was not gonna let my best cuz lift more than me
30 min Warmup
Back Squats
Bar x 20 (3 sets totaling 20ish)
135 x 5 (3 sets)
185 x 3 (2 sets)
225x3 (2 sets)
275x2 (2 sets)
315x1 (2 sets, last one Belted)
+ Belt
335x1
365x1
385x1
395x1
+Light Wraps
405x1 @ 5.5
420x1 @ 6 (Surprisingly Strong. Had this for 3+)
Backoff Set w/ Belt. No wraps
315x10 (more, cardio)
-- My cuz hit 415 so I had to hit 420. He has yet to lift more than me. But I'm getting scared. Srs. He probably will lift more than me very soon if he keeps beast moding it like he has been. He's really getting a lot more srs lately and I gotta give him mad props. He also deadlifted 495 @ 5.5 the other day. No belt. Conventional. This is with less than 2 years of real training under his belt and me training him for over half of that time. Yes I am taking credit for his gains because I've trained him well. But he's smart and starting to really understand how to make fast gains. Our lifting sessions are really getting good now and he's actually keeping my ego in check so I can stick to my programming, thus making optimal gains.
Front Squats
135x5
225x3
275x2
315x1
345x1 (no belt/no wraps) @ 8
+ Belt/Light Wraps
365x1 @ 5 (dead srs)
-- Well. One of these days soon I'm gonna throw 405 on and hit it w/ wraps and a belt. It will probably be pretty easy fresh. I cannot believe it. Feels good man.
Ab Wheel
Knees x 10
Standing x 3
Standing x 4 (hard)
-- Shot from all the work.
Pleased with how things went. Gonna be sore tomorrow. Hammie and knee held up.Last edited by dopamine72; 02-01-2014 at 02:05 AM.

that hammie strain didn't hold you down for long! sickening back & fronts my man, awesome work.
That's cool you've got a compatible lifting partner with your cousin. I can imagine that it would be difficult to find just the right person to add to each other's sessions instead of getting in the way lol
But maybe I just say that because I'm so used to lifting alone and not having anyone there to cramp my style
enjoy your weekend fella!PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Worst Superbowl ever. Srs. I got so mad I went out and started lifting. After the first part of the 2nd half I was done. Absolutely pathetic.
Thanks Wood and yeah he's a good lifting partner. He's learning so much and making good suggestions. I was not gonna let him squat more than me tho so I threw on the 2.5's lol.
Hell yeah Mfer!
Your overall programming is just not that great bro. Sorry to say. And yeah. Lynch is the only one I'm happy for.
Trick question. Everyone is my cuz. Now let that sink in.
