I've imported to India but no customs duty
I've imported bodybuilding supplements from bodybuilding.com many times to Bangalore without any duty . I made savings of 40% compared to supplements available at Apurva Agencies Chamrajpet Bangalore which also they supply fake products. Hence ordering from bodybuilding.com is cheaper and genuine products, only disadvantage is time taken for delivery is 4-5 weeks....hope you have benefited from my experience regards,

i also ordered
hey my order total is 94.58$ usd (5400 INR) .
so i was wondering if duty will be charged or not?
do you know any specific condition when duty is charged? because alot of people around here telling their story of ordering from bodybuilding.com and getting charged double as customs!
indian govermnent is greedy, they shouldn't charge duties like that, they should lower indian market prices, and to prevent the inflation they instead charges tax from us people! this is wrong!
they dont even allow to purchase from foreign market and charges taxes like hell!

i received a bomb this week, $164 custom duty for $145 product ( excluding shipping, which was approx $121)
there is no logical condition, duty is levied on their mood. sometime they will say luxury items, sometime "illegal in india - you are importing drugs".
Bb should open a local office in India.

I have bought supplements..yes there are import taxes
Hi, all, I think I would be the recent guy who has purchased supplements from "BodyBuilding.com". I used to purchase from one of the gym trainers in India, who said it was genuine stuff, and yes it felt like that, however the prices were a big hole in the pocket. I thought why not try bodybuilding.com and try my luck. N.B.: I did not brush up on my import duties knowledge. I ordered a stack of Dymatize Elite 100% Whey 10 lbs, ZMA 180 capsules, EVL Pre-Workout-60 servings (with two 8 servings free) totaling to INR 14,800/- approx.which included shipping and I paid the same through credit card. If I would have bought this stuff in India, it would have cost me INR 23500/- approx. The shipment was done on April 01, 2016. Than one fine morning I set about reading the reviews, which were negative almost, I got scared reading the reviews on import duties which ranged from 30%-150% depending on the mood of the custom officials. If it would have been 150% to the max, I would have ended up paying INR 37000/- in total. I spoke to the customer service..well not much help. However the shipping was smooth with courier done initially from RR Donnelley and than through ARAMEX and I received the shipment within 19 days i.e. on April 20, 2016, at Guwahati, Assam, India.
Yes I had to pay tax of approx. INR 8500/- totaling the value to INR 23300/- so I ended up paying the same price if I had bought in India. I feel if I had shopped within USD 150 (including shipping-value of products matters to customs including the weight), may be I wouldn't have paid tax, but I shopped for USD 214 approx.with a greed of free goodies. I may or may not shop from bodybuilding.com in future, however the stuff is original and genuine. I would not shop from Amazon, rather I would shop from 'NEULIFE' whenever I am travelling to Mumbai or Delhi. So, guys be careful, Customs wont leave you!!!Madmax.............
