Thanks - and you should try heels up squats, makes it a lot easier to get low enough - without a butt wink. I think I'm getting rid of leg extensions for these. I also want to try to fit box squats in...
There are just too many excercises that I love.
Hey! Thanks! I've been in your journal - will have to sub.
And yea, I feel like I do wrist prehab all day, just to get them feeling normal again.

January 26
Lots of time spent warming up, seriously tight. Really need to think about deloading.
arm circles, shoulder dislocations, pushups, planks (forward/reverse)
Bench
45x12, 65x12, 85x10, 105x5x3
CGBP
65x8, 70x8, 75x6
Face pulls/raises
4 sets
Handstands
Have a video. Tried out some new stuff today. Also, realized if I'm on an incline (hands~2feet from wall) the shoulder taps will be easier. I was able to do them this way.
- 3 sets of back to wall and single leg lowers
- 2 sets of shoulder taps
pec dec/tricep machine
3 sets
bench dips/tricips cable pushdown
3 sets
Tired now.

^^Thanks, I have been so tight and sore. Deloading this week, I'm actually happy about this. Normally, it's too hard to stay away from the gym.
Easy full body workout today. 30min spin and another easy full body on Thursday. Weight is back up around 139. Feeling chubby though...must be all the beer from Sat/Sun.
Our "normal" 24hr closed down, so we got transferred to another (nicer) one. This one has the TRX suspension! Played around on these and even convinced the bf to get on them. I think they will help me get the handstands better.
Ivey- I love that site. I like the way he explains things and the moves he suggests.

Friday February 3
Weighed in at 136
Trained yesterday
- squats at 135/machine squats
- BB rows/cable flys
- shoulder DB excercises
- TRX stuff
Excited to get back on the program. I'd kind of like to squat 3 days/week: one day heavy (Front Squats on Tuesday), one medium (Back Squats on Saturday), one light (warmup on Thursday). Should be eating enough for this. Also really need to start doing yoga again, getting lots of tightness.

That's how I was when I FIRST started the program (and well lifting in general since its my first ) I was soo nervous because I hadn't been to the gym in years, was about to attempt so many new exercises, and I was finally starting something that I had wanted to do for soo long! Needless to say I didn't sleep either!
Deload: so,so..I needed it - I feel better at work (more energy, more motivation, work harder), but my body seems to forget how to lift."The minute you lose confidence in yourself and stop believing... you've lost" by Jan Matthews

I've been getting a lot of motivation from this girl/youtube videos. I've been practicing handstands like this, but need to video it to see if form is good. The smallest angle difference/tightness in shoulders or lower back makes the movement much harder/easier.
This is a pistol squat, but I've been doing them straight underneath the TRX ropes letting my arms go up to a 'T'

I know what you mean! Every time I'm in the gym and I see a woman walk in I think, Yay! A woman is going to lift weights, BUT they usually just walk straight to the cardio machines A lot of the time, they look at me like I'm strange for using weights!
Oh and I attempted a hand stand against the wall yesterday... I didn't make it up - Yikes! I'll keep practicing. Those pistol squats look fun!I want to be the best.
