This guy put on some serious mass to play the role of Bane in a short amount of time. Would love some insight into his diet and routine. He was pretty jacked in the Warrior but he was huge in Batman.

I'm curious too, i found this the other day and am still confused. Maybe good genetics and a whole lot of free time to dedicate to attaining his desired physique?

I highly doubt he was on dat der celltech....if you saw him in warrior he was pretty jacked, just looks like he fulked hardcore for batman.
Think about it, celebrities/actors who get big for movies literally are paid to train. it's there job to get big; they dont have to worry about work, school or anything else. They literally have every tool at there disposal to have success."Overtraining" - sponsoring fukarounditis & half a$sed workouts since 1991

He was already pretty big in the Warrior, and he did Bronson before that - he's been gaining some mass for a long time already.

Im pretty sure he just ate a hell of a lot and didn't do anything special. He was big but he definitely had a lot of fat on him at the same time.

He was smaller than Bale on set, but much bigger than him in the movie... Fat and camera/lighting (and stuntman! - ie descending the rope) trickery, as well as some extra muscle. I'm not sure he had much extra muscle than he had in Warrior:
He may have used roids, but there's not exactly a helluva lot of extra muscle that he never had before that begs for explanation.Last edited by Penile_Dementia; 07-29-2012 at 07:33 PM.

roids. stallone has admitted to using them for movie roles. it seems actors can use them but not everyone else.

I watched the same interview, he refused to say anything about trickery lol. He can just put on weight and drop it when he feels like it really. As someone previously said it's there job, I suppose we would all love to get paid to train, he probably goes through chicken like no tomorrow. I've seen an interview of him recently as he's back to normal shape just your average guy, crazy skills!

Im sure having a personal trainer, nutritionist, chef, and tremendous work ethic all at your disposal 24hrs a day doesnt hurt. I find it funny that so many people race to steriods as the answer. Actors often are given the time and resources necessary to accomplish these goals. Im sure if many of us had the same opportunity, with little or no work/family to be responsible for, our monthly results could be equally dramatic.
And yeah...lighting, camera angles, etc. dont hurt either.Team Never Full
