Stop eating old bus seats. Get some new bus seats.

I avoid artificial sweeteners so I add cinnamon + fruit or PB to make my oatmeal palatable.

I like to add some blueberries to mine. I keep a bag of frozen blueberries in my freezer and just add them in with the oatmeal when I cook it in the microwave.

I also like pb & banana and I will also add some protein powder in with my oatmeal to give it flavour.

    1. Fruit: blueberries, strawberries, and bananas work well
    2. Peanut Butter: if you can afford the calories
    3. Spices

*add either splanda, natural sugar, honey, or agave nectar to sweeten it up a little

If you make it right, it can be healthy, low-calorie, and taste like dessert. It's a great snack and it keeps you full. Stop throwing it away! Add some flax for some extra oomph.

You don't need oatmeal for cutting...there are plenty of other carbs to choose from.

my coworker that just competed- would eat hers with meat- She puts Tuna in her oatmeal she has also done ground lean beef-

She even put some onion soup mix (not alot) in the water before adding the oatmeal to flavor the oatmeal then she would ground up lean beef she also used can't believe its not butter spray- Its really not that bad I would touch Tuna and Oatmeal but thats just me.

As for just eating it- I add splenda to mine-

I usually ate the pre-packaged.... which I fell in love with... and I fell so much in love with it that I started the all natural oats which was just a littler untastier but I had loved the pre-packaged SO much that since it was basically oatmeal I still managed to end up loving it !!

    if that makes sense.......

I guess it can be called a technique

stevia's a natural sweetener and its extremely sweet.. much better than splenda IMO, splenda tastes like chemicals to me. I put it in oatmeal with cinnamon. Actually, I eat lots of things with stevia and cinnamon! like cottage cheese and greek yogurt with a chopped apple. Apple could help the oatmeal too. Get creative! it will taste like whatever you add to it, because it tastes like nothing.

but the old bus seat comparison made me laugh!

    Thumbs up

    We do:

    - oatmeal cooked with a splash of vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, chopped almonds, ground flax seed and a bit of honey

    or

-oatmeal with frozen blueberries added after cooking, ground flax seed, and 1/2 tsp blueberry Simply Fruit jam (no added sugar or artificial junk just berries ... very yum)

my kids eat it this way and love it (they add maple syrup instead of honey)

I make it with 1/2 cup of oats, about 25 fresh blueberries and 1 tsp cinnamon. Add a 1/2 cup water and microwave for 90 seconds. Perfecto! The blueberries pop and their juice is sweet. Good for you too!

I love adding a scoop of protein powder to mine. BSN Lean Dessert Cinnamon Roll or Banana Nut Bread flavors when added to oatmeal make it absolutely delicious. I also add a pack or two of Splenda.

    hmm...

for my toddler, i put a little bit of sugar free jelly into it and she likes that a lot and toddlers are picky.

if you throw in some chocolate whey protein, omg that is sooooo good...almost too good.

    sugar free syrup.....

a little bit of cinnamon and splenda

you just get used to it eventually lol.

I like to throw in some cocoa powder, milled flax seed and almond butter. In addition to making for a tasty bowl of oatmeal, the added fat and fiber help it to stick much longer.

definitely cinnamon and apples, bananas, berries...fruit in oatmeal always makes it waaaay tastier. Also, I like to throw in some greek yogurt for some protein and tastiness.

Dont go to the prepackaged stuff...its full of sugar and crap. Maybe you need to try a new type of oatmeal too...or have a variety of them. I have three different kinds in my fridge so when I get bored I can switch to a new kind. (steel cut oats, 8 grain variety and the traditional rolled oats).

I use Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder. A good tablespoon is about 15 calories or so, and it gives the oatmeal a really rich, chocolatey flavor. Sometimes I'll also make an oatmeal "cookie" for breakfast by cooking 1/2 cup oats, adding in some cocoa, chopped walnuts, a teaspoon of vanilla and a packet of stevia, then spreading it onto a plate and microwaving it for a minute or two. Cinnamon and flax are also great add-ins for the cookie!

Oats with peanut butter and a little bit of chocolate protein powder is delicious.

Oats with a banana and some sugar free maple syrup is spectacular.

Oats with a scoop of protein powder if you want to keep it simple.

Oats with berries always tastes great.

Hmm, one time I fried it with a little peanut butter and that was tasty.

... Put some Penzeys orange peel into the boiling water (or water that you nuke) Add cinnamon and Agave nectar... Add some fresh diced fruit... Heck, add some diced chicken and salsa and make it savory rather than sweet if it floats your boat Personally I like it best with cinnamon, nutmeg, agave and a few chopped walnuts and cranberries
