Downing 3 Raw Eggs After Workout?

Is eating 3 raw eggs after a workout, enough Post-Workout protein. Each egg is 5-6 grams of protein, so 15-18 grams in total of egg protein, post-workout.
    Enough?

Why not just *gasp* eat legit food?

Do you enjoy the taste of raw eggs or something? I'd much rather eat something enjoyable then risk food borne illness. It's not a "magic" food or something, rocky was just a movie.

I'm pretty sure the chance of getting salmonella from free-range eggs is very low. I've had hundreds of raw eggs over the last two years (granted, you could very well end up getting salmonella from the first one that you eat but think of it like a very big game of russian roulette - exciting!). Some people might mention the bioavailability of raw eggs due to the presence of avidin, although I can recall somebody saying that running an egg under hot water for half a minute or so is enough to destroy the avidin without 'cooking' the egg. Sounds stupid but I'm inclined to believe it (does that make me a broscientist?).

Relax yourself. No need to get stressed out.

Downing 3 raw eggs is quicker than making anything. Can get it down straight away and eggs aren't legit?

Running it under hot water is not going to break the avidin-biotin bond. The time and temerature needed to do so is much much higher. But that just has to do with BV biotin.

The digestibility of the raw egg white is only a fraction of what is is cooked.

Other dietary and training factors would need to be known in order to have a sensible discussion, but 15 grams of protein even at 100% BV is light.

Fair enough - I should have researched the topic a bit more before posting. I suppose I was trying to rationalise my own consumption of raw eggs! Never mind!
