Thanks Gary, it was really awesome to progress so far so fast.

i never new you could make your suit smaller by boiling, does this work with 2 ply suits aswell? how long did you boil it for?
thanks.Last edited by southbankwulf; 01-20-2009 at 06:33 AM. Reason: i fail

It does indeed work for two ply gear, Marcus boiled his SDP to get it to shrink back up in the arms. It has to be poly gear, the temperature range in which the fabric was created happens to have the boiling point of water smack dab in the middle of it. its enough to return the fabric to its original shape w/o destroying the chemical properties.
we've been experimenting with different lengths in the water, it seems like 10 minutes is enough to get the entire suit up to the right temperature but not so long that it starts to lose its properties.
then we put it in the dryer on high heat for 10 minutes, then air dry. my squat suit shrank about down to its original size (titan 48). I'm gonna do it to my bench shirt today and see what happens.
well out here in california its only 8am...so I'll tell you in three hours.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*

oh ok...i wanted to shrink my inzer rage shirt because its way to big and i can slip into it easy, but still cant touch in it easily, but im sure that is just inexperiance in the shirt. you think i should shrink it or leave it and shrink it after? and how about if i washed it at a high temperature....will that do the same job?
thanks for the info by the way.'lifting is an iron brotherhood of warriors going into battle against the all powerful gravity, spilling their blood, waging war and laughing in the face of mortals' . F*ck off mate, you work in human resources, you're not a viking.

no prob, if you can't touch in it even though its loose, you definitely need more training time.
I'd say work in it until you can touch then worry about tightening it up. washing it in a washing machine at high temps works too, but you also have to worry about the agitation picking the seams/stitches open.
good luck.

Saw the doc;
Diagnosis: Ganglion cyst on my radial ligaments, and general elbow inflammation
Prognosis: no long term effects, joint ligaments and tendons are healthy.
Treatment: short term: cortisone injection will control the pain and the inflammation from the cyst and the elbow joint to allow me to bench at the meet this saturday.
long term treatment is: rest and the body will eventually reabsorb it, if its not continually inflamed. if rest does not reabsorb the cyst, there are surgical options, but those come with a hefty price tag of 60-90 days of inactivity.
