    Protein Bar from Costco !!!!

    hii guys
recently I bought a packet of protein bars from costco, they're branded "think protein"
here are the ingrdients listed on the bar :

    Serving Size: 60
    Servings Per Container: 1

    % Daily Value*
    Calories 250
    Calories from Fat 80
    Total Fat 8 g
    Saturated Fat 3 g
    Trans Fat 0 g
    Cholesterol 5 mg
    Sodium 200 mg
    Potassium 60 mg
    Total Carbohydrate 26 g
    Dietary Fiber 1 g
    Sugars 0 g
    Sugar Alcohol 13 g
    Other Carbohydrates 10 g
    Protein 20 g

Protein blend (whey protein isolate, calcium caseinate, soy protein isolate), coating (maltitol, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor, sodium caseinate, dairy oil, soya lecithin, natural flavors, salt), glycerin, maltitol syrup, ground almonds, canola oil, water, soy flour, chocolate liquor, cocoa powder, tricalcium phosphate, lecithin, salt. Vitamins and Minerals: ascorbic acid, d-alpha tocopherol, niacinamide, zinc oxide, vitamin A palmitate, electrolytic iron, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, copper gluconate, riboflavin, thiamin mononitrate, folic acid, biotin, potassium iodide, vitamin B12.

I don't know if they're the best ! well .. I think they were the onces with the least saturated fat contents, plus they were sugar free. ( only alcohol sugar)

Will they make a good post-workout snack ???
well if not im cool with that, will they at least be a good regualr snack ?? since we're supposed to be eating 6 times a day with protein snacks.

Depends on your goals. Are you bulking or cutting?

For cutting, I always try to look for bars with at least 4g of fiber to keep me full.

They are good if you're on the run and don't want to trouble yourself with something like fast food... but with today's "fast food", you can get a lot of good things.

Nonetheless, it's better then nothing... just don't make them a habit eating them all the time.

How is this product much different from the protein powders and other foods that BB.com consumes ad libitum?
No sir, I don't like it.

    That's about it.

glycerin= carbs. the problem is protein bar makers don't consider this a carb when in fact it is and adds quite a few more carbs(15-20grams) if you are counting them in your macro numbers

This combination of protein, fiber, and healthy fats to increase satiety! And no matter how safe people like to say artificial sweeteners are, I would rather give my body real fuel!

I personally enjoy Cliff Builder Bars, similar caloric profile, with fiber fat and protein.

    If I remember correctly..., 20 g protein, 8 g fat, 4 g fiber, and maybe 30 g carb????

Well, it's about 40/30/30, which is pretty close to what a lot of BB.com recommends...

If you want a protein bar, get Supreme. They are hands down the best. Go buy one at your local market, and then you'll see why they are to die for!

You doin't know what your missing... They got a new Cliff Bar too just peanutbutter, or at least it's in a new package! + I tried cookies and cream which was delicious, chocolate isn't that good.

I usually get at least 4-5 of these a week, they are really satisfying for a treat craving, and give me a sustained release of energy.

Not sure if this matters but the package says, "low GI" lol.
