    Hips wider than waist?

    Hey, so I've got a bit of a problem.

    I'm 17, 5'10 and 145lbs. My shoulders are 42", hips are 34" but my waist is only 30".

    This is giving me a bit of a womanly pear-shaped figure and I really hate it!

    What would you recommend I do to get a more "manly" figure? I want to try and make the hips less noticeable (it's bone, not fat so there's nothing really to burn off.)

    you can't really do anything about it. work your core/lower back to fill out the waist area? just work on your upper body and you should be fine

    don't neglect lower body though

    Your hips are suppose to be bigger than your waist.
    waist is around navel.
    hips is the biggest point around body, about where your dick is and around your ass.

    I thought they were supposed to be around the same. I know that mine definitely are disproportionate to look at.

    unless your a strongman, PL, or pro bodybuilder, your waist will be smaller than your hips.

    there's never an exercise that's "the best" . just work out everything and focus on compound lifts


    if they were the same it would look pretty weird. if you provide pics we can say whether or not it really is disproportionate or you're just too self-conscious about it. I doubt it is the former though

    op i fyou want you want your hips to appear more slim work a lot on your lats and shoulders, as you get broader and your back statrts to develope more you will find that your hips will appear slimmer but in the mean time you gotta eat more(A **** LOAD MORE)!!good luck man keep working hard

    Lol silly OP. Everyones waist is smaller then their hips. Wouldn't worry about it. But we both know you will anyways and this is going to keep you up at night.
