hey guys so is the current trend to eat more whole foods and full meals pwo now? I remember back 6 yrs ago i read on this very site that you "had to have maltodextrin/ dextrose carbs in high amounts with whey protein"
now i'm seeing all the time that it's cool to eat chicken, brown rice.... even big macs/ burger king pwo.... don't get it

That is not true ^^^
The whole "window" thing has been debunked many times already. It usually comes from studying FASTED trainees. So of course they need nutrients. But guys like you and me have aminos in our blood from the meals earlier in the day even after we finished working out...
And one would be hard pressed to name a supplement that hits your blood faster than egg whites. Egg whites take about 10 minutes to start givin you the good stuff. Faster than whey.

Whole eggs are absorbed even faster than whites too.

I love the PWO fruit threads. It's the same process every single time.
Question about fruit PWO -> Someone wrongly discounts fruit as a PWO choice because it only refills liver glycogen -> Someone corrects them by saying it isn't stored exclusively in the liver, nor does the body use muscle glycogen exclusively during training.

what i do is use coconut water, whey, raw eggwhites and a bowl of oatmeal
Or if im in a hurry.....Milk, whey, raw eggwhites
and as you can see it works
Ill also have some sugars(maltodetrxin, HFCS) when doing intense weight training..... like legs.
and no HFCS isnt gonna kill you

malto and dex are "fancy carbs", they are not needed unless you do several hard sessions per day. Just go home and make meat and potatoes
Yes, if you can you should have real food. Supplements are just that, they supplement your diet when you got no time to chew or something.

Powdered oats are better than maltodextrin and waxy maize. You get a bunch of goodies in the oats and you can throw em in anything. Big deal they're a little gritty/chunky... quit being a girly man and slam em
A million miles away - I don't.. feel.... anything.
