01-16-2013, 10:22 PM #3334"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." two posts in one week... It's an overload from me.
I'm down to my last few heavy days before my Meet on the 26th. Last night was Deadlift night. so it was warm ups and then working my way up to 5 sets of 2 reps at 505lbs.
Here's the final set of 2.
Current BW is 235lbsThe Iron will never Lie to you.

Thanks all,
It's a small meet, and it's a fledgling federation (yes...) I'm doing it to set my goal for my next Meet and to have a bit of fun at an event.
It's in a small crossfit gym in Beverly, MA.
My next meet is in June in Hartford CT at the Europa Convention. That's the big goal. Breaking 1400, Raw (w/ knee wraps) in the 220lb class. 600lb dead, 500lb squat, 300lb+ bench. The Iron will never Lie to you.

Looking good peoples!
I decided to mess around with some posing routines. It's been a while since I've done one, still working out the kinks...

edit: I'm behind in this thread (again), so my apologies to all the awesomeness I've overlooked!
Awesome lifts with and without belt!
Way to go - make Lisa proud! And the rest of us very humble.
Wow, super impressive! You've come so far in the past year - great job!
Oh My, that looks totally wicked. I may have to give that a try tomorrow. Let's see if I'm still walking on Saturday
Me too. You look awesome, ID! No question at all that you could do some serious damage if you ever decided to compete.
Good luck with them both! Beverly is just north of the airport, right?
^^^^Like what he said^^^^Peace: Lift Long and Prosper!
Alamagan Dågan - and proud of it!

Well my pics are not of the recent caliber in this thread, but yesterday I finally dropped under 200lb, so what the heck its time for another tubbo to post a pic. There is no before pic cause dat be some nasty chit. The best I can do to prove I started at 277lb is the note that was put in my daily log on Jan 8, 12. No shirtless pics right now, but another 10 - 12wks of the current plan and who knows. I know I have at least another 25 - 30lb to chase off. Thanks to all that keep posting the motivating stuff ITT.
Not much to show for guns yet, so just a relaxed photo from the basement gym.

I tried that one time....but it did not go over well with the neighbors
My kids like to play with them....but I actually did use them for a while rehabbing my shoulder. (rotations)
That is an awfully high compliment. Thanks. Like most on here, I tend to look at what I need to improve upon rather then the progress that has been made. I am less then a month away from the big 4-0 and reflecting on this crazy journey to recapture my former self. It is nice to know I am going to not only make it...but exceed it. Thanks!
Maybe some day..... I think I will probably move into powerlifting in the near future...but always with at least one eye on aesthetics.
Nice work! Look forward to see how your comps go. Been leaning that way myself and watching you do it, fires me up to start trying to push for some heavy weights!
Very nice Kimm... It is so nice to have a female perspective around here along with a fierce competitor. Very inspirational.
Nice job man....That is a lot of progress....and I am sure more is to come. I think you have done the hard part already!RAW lifts

You must have never seen them..... let me post some more for you!
On a serious note.....progress pics are one the biggest sources I have of motivation. Our own emotions make us so fickle... Heck, some days I feel 'big' and other days (especially when dieting) I struggle with the thoughts that I am 'scrawny'..... It is nice to have pics to go back and look through. It can really be an effective tool to keep you on track. Again...when dieting, your mind can play some real big tricks on you... Seeing the scale numbers drop can start to mess with your head.
No apologies here for taking lots of pics..... I will only apologize if I dont hit goals that I set out to hit or dont progress. On that note.... I like seeing others progress pics just as much. That too is a great source of inspiration.RAW lifts
