I have never heard of this, but I have started taking Beverly International's Amino Acid pills. (1 per 10lb of body weight)
A guy I work (in his 50's now) said that back when he was lifting in his 30's, several guys tried taking amino acid pills and experienced hair loss.
I tried to look up some info on it, but it doesn't have a lot of info supporting or negating it.
Being that amino acids are important with protein synthesis, I would *THINK* that it could only help hair growth.

He may have thought he was taking in Amino Acid's at the time, but if he was experiencing dramatic hairloss than it may have been something slightly stronger.
