nice kill brah. me personally, i love mechanicals, rage broad heads are the way to go. hoping to redeem myself on that 8pt i missed. my cousin missed a 150-160" 12pt last night. Pretty stoked for gun season to get here so I can get a crack at him.

Ruts starting to get in full swing here in Michigan, not quite yet tho. Few does are coming in heat, but not many by any means.

in real life rating for archery id say 6/10. no e-hate, its a young buck. Misc standards 10/10 gjdm. glad to see a few hunters on here. i got a coues deer hunt that starts tomorrow, i wont be hunting until sunday morning cant wait.

Nice clean shot OP, gjdm. I'm actually on my way home from a week of bow hunting in NW Missouri. The bucks were rutting hard as fuk. We saw racks almost every hunt. I shot a very nice 10 pt the second day of our trip. By far, the largest deer I've ever gotten and some of the best hunting I've ever been on since I'm from LA. I will post a few pics when I get home if I remember.

A lot of people don't understand that if you don't have a hunting season for certain animal populations, they would be completely out of control. Deer are one of those animals, it's important to hunt them for population control. It's getting so bad here in Missouri, that it's becoming normal for deer to run around in some of the cities in Southern Missouri. I saw some does running across the fourlane in the middle of Poplar Bluff Missouri the other day, miles from the nearest heavily wooded area.

Also, I've been in some of the biggest factories in the US for animal processing. I worked numerous jobs at Tyson Chicken, and good god, it takes everything I have just to eat chicken anymore. Those factories/plants are more inhuman than the guy out in the woods hunting.

This. I'll admit that I used to be an anti-hunting ******* (dat Bambi got to me) before learning more about industrial meat processing and hunting in general.

Brb, buying my meat from an animal that lived its entire life standing in its own sht and piss, being injected with hormones, and hardly able to move before being killed with a pneumatic hammer.
Brb, an animal living its entire life free in its natural environment, being hunted by a natural predator, and being put down with respect/not allowed to suffer. Brb, organic meat.
Brb, hunting is barbaric.

Rage? I think I was watching Bone Collector and Waddle had a mech that didn't open and they said another hunter shot the same buck 2 wks later. Only mech I would consider right now is the Grim Reeper.

yeah ill admit if they dont open, you can be quite fked.. just have you hope you had a good shot and lots of puncture. now that i graduated college i can finally devote time to hunting and its great. between highschool and sports, then college and work, never really could go more than once a week.
