I'd rather hang out with friends and play poker or just drink and play video games. We aren't social hermits, we all have lots of friends but we aren't club people. My reasons are the music is ****ty techno, drunk people spilling beer on you, alcohol costing ****loads, floor so packed you can't move at all, waiting in line outside as well. Just doesn't appeal to us.
We'd rather hang out and drink and watch hockey or something. Beer is cheaper, it's our friends, our music (at levels we can still hear one another) and no dumbass drunks trying to pick fights.
I don't mind pubs, cause the music is lower and you can actually have a conversation, can sit down and drink good beer and eat good food as well.
Am I alone here?

ive never been to a club, but the whole idea doesnt appeal to me. for one, i dont drink, and two, there are way too many sober a**holes out there let alone drunk ones. and going somewhere where everyones bumping their sweaty body into you just doesnt sound fun. i didnt even like HS parties lol. but i have friends, im not an outcast lol
i would rather just chill at someone's house and relaxcalves of peace

You are not alone. Whenever I go to those places with someone (or alone), I never really feel like being there. Never in the right mood for it.

I used to hate the club scene (i am completely impartial to the 'bar' scene tho) until I realized how fun it is to go bymyself. (serious)
Whenever I am with friends, I feel as though there are certain expectations that my buddies have of me to be big pimpin and pick up on all the ladies etc etc...and you always have to keep track of where your friends are, let them know where you are going, if you are moving on or talking to someone..
So I decided to go to the club alone one night..and loved it. All of the above was completely non existent, no obligations, no nothing...just chillin on your own time...I've met more women @ the club being alone than I ever have being with a crew and had tons more fun. I usually always bump into people I have gone to high school with, or worked with, or used to date..

Agreed. Never been a fan of clubs or trendy bars that play whatever is on the latest pop radio stations. I'd rather be in a pub or a low key dive, listening to AC/DC or something while playing some darts. Drinking a pitcher of beer for a few bucks is better than a bottle of beer for 6

Glad I'm not alone. I just feel like I have my friends, I don't need more. It isn't that I don't want to meet people, I just feel you can't be a true friend to more than 5-6 people because you can never dedicate a lot of time to more than that many people to actually be a real friend. That's another reason why I don't see a point to them, I don't need more social interaction with strangers. Especially drunk ones that I wouldn't want to talk to anyways.
Oh yea also the bathrooms, ****in nasty at those places people just trash them. If you go for a piss or **** any later than 10 they are trashed.

im jus sayin. saying all clubs are wack is a blanket statement and could cause you to miss out on some sweet sweet times. you'll go to vegas some time probably, everyone does. then you'll see whats good and whats not.
when i just now saw that you live in canada, i feel your pain man. **** must suck. i bet the big cities in canada have some tight places to be...
